I was just reading in the
software>apple games forum, nvidia 9400m
that it uses instead of 256mb RAM (in mac os x) it uses 512mb RAM (in windows)

...........I'M SAVED FROM THE MAC'S GAMING ISSUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

It doesn't change the fact that it's still the same GPU... Amount of memory doesn't help a lot because performance is limited because of clock speeds and number of cores. You may get 5% better performance

Yeah, the vram will help you to run larger textures, resolutions, and improve performance a bit, but you still have that 9400m.

Of course, there are a few windows programs that allow you to overclock the video card, but I wonder how that would work out inside windoze in bootcamp.... ;)

Woah I just opened up dxdiag on my windows side and have a looky here....

Name: NVIDIA GeForce 9400
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip Type: GeForce 9400
DAC Type: Integrated RAMDAC
Approx. Total Memory: 1383mb(1.38GB)
Current Display Mode: 1920x1200 (32-bit)(60Hz)
Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor

so how much would 1383mb be of help to my graphics card?

Not much because the GPU is still the same. Even if you have 1TB of VRAM it wouldn't be faster because 9400M doesn't have enough power!
