As long as your time isn't valuable, sure.

I've had more problems and downtime with my nMP which I sold, then I have with my hackintosh. I have had 0 problems with my hackintosh. Currently running 10.12.4 and it's rock solid. My nMP had tons of issues. GPU crashes, random hangs, usb devices that randomly stopped working.

Just because it has the Apple branding doesn't mean it's infallible nor will it consume your time.

When I started Hackintoshing, it was hard and you could spend hours, then do something that would bork your whole system and you had to start over. You had to be proficient at modifying and installing kext files, etc.

But today, if you can type in tonymacx86.com to a browser and follow simple instructions, you can have a rock solid build.

The secret to modern hackintoshing is to buy hardware from the list of supported hardware, which is amazingly large now.

The actual process of installing Mac OS on it is only marginally more difficult than installing on Apple hardware.
