Thanks alot! Worked for me too!

Still don't know where the problem came from... seems it only happend on my new MacBook Pro - had no issues on the Air with the same config and all items in the Context Menu folder are older than 2011....

I also had the fritzbox plugin, not the antidote.

However, it works now again! Thanks alot!:):):)

just wanted to add that I too suffer from this error. The mentioned folder is empty.

Any ideas?

removing plugins worked

Seems like I just solved it.
For me, it was the Antidote plugin in contextual menu.
It can be something else that fails in contextual menus.
Go to Mac HD/library/Contextual Menu Items and clean up!

Hope that helps.

this solved it for me
I had a different plugin in the Contextual Menu Items folder - I deleted it and Excel no longer crashes after right-hand clicks. Thank you :)
