I have the open to update but use these programmes tons during the week and will stick with the 16.43 under they\re related on the standard channel.

Even opening a 1.5GiB PPT slide is lightening quick.

So just a quick update .. Office 365 is now native ... and what a difference no lag in opening excels or powerpoints ... no splash screen nothing just instant also reduced CPU usage and Memory Pressure, tested it against my Windows 10 maschine same file (thinkpad 7th gen i7 16/512) guess who wins every time ...... now we just need them to update teams .... YMMV

P.S. hope this is ok to post here as only Forum that covers all devices
Let us know how teams reacts once native. This could determine buying a new computer.

Thank you for this post! My office 365 is now running natively. It is amazing to see Outlook load in 1 bounce and Excel and Words files load up in less than a sec.

You caught my curiosity here. How many gigapixels per image?
It's a composite of 80-100 different images layered on top of each other at 1200dpi. I have the students add the full image at 1200dpi and then I crop and show what I want to. (This retains the full original image should we want to change on the fly later).

Essentially, it's the results of 100 different experiments and I want to compare pieces of each while retaining the original data underneath for faster alterations should I want to make a snap change for a presentation.

I could do it in other software like Photoshop as an example as the file size would be reasonable.

However, if you're travelling, every single machine on the planet has PowerPoint and one can make modifications even in a youth hostel/guesthouse if the computers don't arrive.

It's not the most efficient way to do it with respect to size of the file itself. However, it is the best practical real-world solution as it fits on a single USB stick that no one ever checks at the border as border control is too lazy. Laptops, etc... always get check, thus we either leave them at home of ship them internationally to the destination.

But I suppose that not so many students have the resources to open a 1.5GB ppt slide.
