And no, that's never been the case.
And you call me a newbie.

Wow. Way to jump the gun and contribute ladies. When did I ever want songs for free?
A while back fiddling around with the plist entries allowed you to switch off jailbreak detection.
Unbelievable.
We were just joking around bud.
But on a serious note its way more complicated than what you think.
Every app has different JB detection methods and procedures.
Some have services that run when the app launches or while it goes to do various tasks that looks for certain files and folders only installed on JB devices. Such as /cydia directory and many other strings or values added on Jailbroken devices.
If it was as easy as just editing a plist file and changing an entry we would have done it a while ago
Things are becoming harder to go around and devs can make things complicated and difficult to circumvent their detection methods.
As has been said in about 10 different threads the last couple days.
What about Flex 2? Does anybody know if it will do anything for the Tivo app?
I'm about ready to try it, as I can't watch anything on my iPhone 6, with the Tivo app.
Thanks
Same here.
That's why I keep my iPad on stock iOS 8.1 for now till a solution for this comes out.
Just to offer some hopefully helpful advice, Xcon does seem to work on IOS8, and does seem to work on the Tivo app and MAAS360. Thing is you have to go outside of Cydia to get it and install it. So it's slightly more complicated, but not much. For whatever reason, you have to go get the latest developer build on github, and upload it with Ifile, and then run it in ifile and select the install option. Seems to work fine for me.

I installed Beta 7.. same one I used on IOS 8..

So,
I don't actually use my TiVo app that much, but I thought that if run on a jail broken device, it would refuse to start, and give an error message about being run on a jail broken device? I don't see those errors, and the app launches, finds the TiVo(s), and connects to them. It is having issues with actually calling up the recorded content, but I was assuming that's a different issue, as it did not bitch about being run on a jail broken device.?
