When will we see the official iPad reviews from tech media writers like Walt Mossberg, David Pogue, etc...? With less than 2 weeks until launch I would expect them any day now.
Engadget will get first hands on for sure, so just a few days after release i would guess.
This is what I would expect. Their iPhone 3GS reviews dropped a couple of days before shipping. The "legitimate" tech writers surely have them in-hand right now. Pogue, Mossberg, and maybe one or two others.Middle of next week - Weds/Thurs. Expect reviews from Baig, Pogue, and Uncle Walt.
Engadget got a hands-on demo during the Keynote. If you google "iPad hands-on", you'll find the video of their hands-on experience.
Why do you think that? In the past the New York Times and Wall Street Journal tech writers have had Apple products for days (or weeks!) ahead of the official public release and their reviews have been published before launch...we won't see any into around april 6 or 7
Why do you think that? In the past the New York Times and Washington Post tech writers have had Apple products for days ahead of the official public release and their reviews have been published before launch.
Apple will encourage them to talk about it. It will help drive people to the stores and will result in more sales. We can argue about the journalistic integrity of Mossberg and Pogue, but these are basically free advertisements in the NYT and WSJ.
I don't think they will because apple has not talked much about the ipad since the keynote. I think they are good off their pre- order sales. Now after the 3rd is when we will see the real markting for the ipad.
What kind of reviews are people expecting? I'm new to Apple products and following their release so I'm not sure what to expect. I think I'm going to buy one provided it doesn't get too much of a slating. (no joke intended)
