I haven't installed it since I downloaded it. Personally, I like the old PhoneSaber just fine actually. How is it for everyone else?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F136 Safari/525.20)

Weird - I just downloaded "new" official version & the old, original that was pulled in early Aug is what installed. Maybe Apple pushed the store listing but didn't get the actual download file updated yet.

Same here in Australia...
Had PhoneSaber ages ago, deleted it because it was crap...
Downloaded (from iPhone; no iTunes used) Lightsaber Unleased
It tells me that "This update is free because you owned a previous version of this app."... and then installs Phone Saber in its horrible lack of glory.

Once this works, I do hope it understands the accelerometers better. The old one was useless at understanding the difference between a slow swipe and a hard (hypothetical :p) saber collision.

Me too.

This looks like something that keeps happening - what is supposed to be different versions of apps actually get merged into one by Apple.

For example, the "Seismometer" application recently went from being free to paid even though the developers were actually trying to create two tiers of application. A similar thing might also be happening with "dual level".

It looks like Apple has to get is version control system worked out better.

Ok, we now have 30 people saying the exact same thing.

I think it's safe to say that it's happening to everyone until the new version is released.

You have to press the iPhoneSaber icon, and then press the X and delete it. Then download the new "Lightsaber Unleashed" and you should be good to go...:p

OK, I just tried to download it on my wife's 3G iPhone and the App doesn't exist anymore!!! Be Careful Don't Want Anyone To LOSE their App...

I bet this is one big con. They made us download the old version to get us confused and delete it so that they can now charge for the real one lol.

Am I the only one who thinks it should be "Sabre" since it's more like a sword than a cat?

You say Tomato, I say Potato . . . wait, what?

the new version also has...

official version!

talk about a feature set! hahah, just messing around

That's like the original Disney DVDs which included such "Special Features" as Scene Selections and Menus.
