Here because I'm unable to flash the cMP 4,1 firmware to 5,1. I've been directed to ask the users here for help, as the traditional firmware flash method seems to have stopped working.

Thanks to MFI (Made for IPhone) hearing aids I gave up my android habit and switched to IPhone two years ago. That made me 50% Mac since I was a longtime IPad user. Windows laptop was on its last legs and I popped for 15" M3 Mackbook Air to replace it. A few more bucks for a dock and I could run my two external monitors and began to wonder why I still had a desktop Windows machine. So, my sister is getting a beefy Windows machine and I am learning to speak Mac. I still prefer Chrome to Safari and Gmail to Mail, but am learning my way around Finder slowly. Photos will always be a mystery to me. A lot of exif data seems to be wrong and a ton of my photos seem to have been created on January 1, 1980. Bleh. I had my photos in folders by year, but that all went away on import.

But now I am 100% Mac and will need lots of help.

Hi guys,

Just registered here to post some stuff, been reading here for a longer time. Apple addict since 2004, but went to the dark side a couple of times because I got fed up with Apple's iPhone battery policy and ending up with two iPhones that would not last a day after less than two years of ownership. I now have a Samsung Flip 5, nice, but I'm eager to go back to iPhone!

Mac has had my love for all this time, I never liked Windows or Linux so that was an easy choice. I really like programming on the Mac. Building software is only a hobby, but it's gotten out of hand a bit. 😆

Hi All,

Got my first computer in 2000.
It was a PC, that was never on the internet (PCs and security don't mix in my book), it was strictly for word processing...Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, back whien I was constructing crossword puzzles.

I got my first of seven Macs in 2005...stronger internet security AND iTunes (though PCs also had iTunes), and never looked back.

I found this site today, when I Googled 'Top 10 Mac Forums', and here I am.
