Hello Forum Team

Well, from 2003 to March 2025, I've used all kinds of phones, from a Nokia 2300 to a Samsung F62 Android. But on April 1st, 2025, I bought my first iPhone 16, and I'm so happy I can't even describe it in words.

I've been a quiet reader here as well for years even before having any apple device. Today I love to use all my apple devices (which are getting more and more over the years) and also love to see what apple may come up with in the near future

I joined the mac train around 10 years ago when a mac Genius showed me a bash terminal on a mac, have also done a ton of hackintoshing when intel macs were super average in performance comparing to PCs, still run 2 Mojave hackinotsh NAS builds as they are rock solid (headless)..
currently playing with a 6 core mac Pro 2013 :) suprised how usable it is,
daily driver is a m1 24 inch imac 4 port and 15 inch m2 macbook Air,

greetings from Australia!

New Year’s resolution is to not only look around in silence any more but also interact a bit. Nice to see that there still are active communities around topics that are interesting to me

Greetings from London and my kindle coloursoft
Ha, ha … from what I have read since I started as a regular reader during the pandemic and especially when the first news came about the UI of iOS 26, I’d venture to say that there maybe quite a few on.MR who frown at your username ☺️😊 … you are brave! I see the pros and cons. curious: Your kindle colorsoft UI is Liquid Glass-like? 😊

Long time lurker, first time poster. Enjoy the info posted here.
same here …
May I ask: Your avatar photo: Coast of _____ ? Beautiful!

New here but been reading a while. I love the worldwide participation, I.e. perspective to all things Cupertino as well as the attention to tech news and even tech related controversies related to Apple/beyond Apple. Particularly interested in privacy issues…. will check the forums to see if there is one with that emphasis.

I am curious what the logic is behind the classification below the username in the avatar icons. Some say “macrumors member”, some … regular, … 68000, … demi-god, … G4 .
Ok., member, contributor, newbie … are obvious, but … 6502? 6502a? 68030 is a processor but 603? Are these self-chosen?

Hello to all!

I just registered for the forums, but I've been lurking for a while, and I've followed the main MacRumors site for many years.

I'm an unashamed Apple fanboy since the original 128K Mac in 1984. My current steed is a 13" 2020 M1 MacBook Pro, but I'm planning to upgrade this spring.

I programmed a few simple Mac applications when I was in college in the mid--to-late 1980's, starting with the "phonebook" edition of Inside Macintosh, MacModula-2, and TML Pascal. Now I primarily use my Mac for internet, personal finance, and digital photography.

I've used iPhones since the 4s in 2011 (currently a 15 Pro), and I got my first iPad (6th gen) in 2018, which I just replaced with an 11th gen (A16) in November.
