Official OpenVPN macOS client?

I don't have a answer to your open VPN client. I have used Tunnelblick in the past but did not care for it. However since you run your VPN on a VM you could install OSX server in a virtual machine and use it's VPN. I have been running it for years and I am very happy with it. I run the high sierra version with IMO is the last great OS X server.

I’m not wrong the Mac VPN is a client setup! Even the video he connected to his sever that way!
