First picture is my parking. The next one is across the water from it and the 3rd one is the bridge I took to get across.

Well, I was feeling better about my current situation till I came across this thread. I was homeless up until a month or so ago. Living with parents now. It was easier to choose to live on the streets than to move in with the parents. Weird. Wish I had a digicam when I was on the streets though. I was in PR, now in NJ.

local area

Was that your deck?!

Yes, and not uncommon. Fortunately the black bears in this area are fairly docile creatures and can be shooed away. Then there was one which ripped out a screen and visited inside the house (a good result, though, with no harm to bear or us.)

Nice Thread!

This is just a 15 minutes walk from home.
The city used to be called "The Gibraltar of the north".
It had the reputation to be untakable.
Altough it went trough Spanish, French, Dutch and German rule.

That's amazing... where do you live?

belair--nice photos! What an inviting appearing place.

mac_head101 Most of the year I'm near Ruidoso, NM but spend the coldest months in Houston. There is plenty of wildlife in NM and plenty of traffic in Houston.

thats a really nice shot, it needs to be trimmed slightly so the bottom lines up with the botton of the house.. but really nice shot.... where do you live?

Do you really think it looks better like this?

The view from my window, looking East across Tranebergsund to Kungsholmen and Lilla Essingen in Stockholm. night and day versions.

The final picture is one of Bollhustäppan (Boy gazing at the moon) a tiny statue on Gamla Stan in the very centre of Stockholm. You will need to seek it out yourself, the fun is in finding it. I am trying hard to recall why it is here. If I remember correctly it is associated with the suffering of Russian Children, very poiniant.

P.S. Every winter someone knits it a little jacket to wear to keep out the cold. Yesterday it had a little bonnet on tied under the chin.

...Unfortunately the only train service left on the Cape, but I have been on that train several times and it is a very nice and pretty ride...

Cape Cod is quite possibly the greatest place in the world outside of Boston :D Epecially Orleans, Eastham & Truro

Here's some pics from my city .. and no, it's not Tokyo.
