very bad experience with officialiphoneunlock.co.uk

Save your money and DON'T USE THIS SERVICE!!!

After waiting for more then a year (Nov. 2012 - Dec. 2013) and paying at that time about 170 £ the unlock support team changed my status to "09 Dec 2013 10:46:39 - Your handset is barred/blacklisted, as per our terms and conditions we cannot refund you." which is absolutely not true because I got this Iphone 4 (locked at Softbank Japan) from my father. You can check this here
IMEI 012754009460153 -- > http://iunlocker.net/check_blacklist.php (Select Softbank Japan).

Because they changed my status to "blacklisted" without any proof (!!!!) they also keep my money and will not pay any refund!!!

After ignoring my support enquiries for month I finally had to made a report to the police.

Everybodey out there please DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!!!

PS.: Don't trust the http://trustedreviews.eu/ rating system. I wrote this review but the only one who could see this was me. When I changed to another computer my review was blocked by the http://www.officialiphoneunlock.co.uk/ website and showed only the 4-5 Star rated (some few 3 Star rated) reviews!!!

This is my recent experience with this Company in the UK:

Dear Sirs I have registered with you to unlock my iPhone 4 which is a genuine bona fide phone purchased outright from Orange, and therefore should not be locked in the first place. Orange advised me to contact you because they had a delay in the system. Having taken the sum of £19.99 + VAT (£23.99)from me you now are advising me that you want an additional £109.99 before you will unlock the phone. Sirs I believe that this is ridiculous when the Orange cost to unlock the phone is £20. I require you to cancel my request to unlock this phone and refund my money at your earliest convenience. If you go to the FAQ's page it states A pre-order simply means that those unlocks are currently offline whilst we are in negotiations to confirm a price with the carrier and Apple. Hence why the price is always £19.99. Please note this isn't the final unlocking price which may be substantially more expensive - see the pricelist for typical unlock prices, they vary between £29 and £119 so expect something in this region.http://www.officialiphoneunlock.co.uk/unlocking_faq.php You can of course wait for the cheaper service which should be resuming in January, or you can transfer the cost towards a different unit. Yes we can cancel for you but unfortunately as per our terms and conditions we can't refund a pre-order as the service has been delivered (informing about when the unlock is available and a place reserved in the priority unlocking queue) Please note prices are set by the suppliers and not by us , we make on average £15 per unlock

My Reply
I am disappointed in your reply. The very fact that an iPhone 4 only has a value of under £150 (see eBay where you can buy them every day for under £150) makes your price for unlocking nothing short of usery. The price you are charging me £19.99 +VAT + £109.99 presumably + VAT which you don't mention, makes a grand total of £155.98.
You say that your price is only based on that charged by the suppliers, yet Orange are charging me £20 for the same service and this is not a jailbreak!

I will without further ado start to post on all the review sites and social networking pages that your service is quite deliberately misleading, takes longer than everyone thinks and is QUITE extortionate in pricing as it is more than the phone is worth.
There may be some satisfied customers from you but based on my own experience with your Company I find that difficult to credit.

My advice is get your phone unlocked by the network provider. If you can't or can't wait then buy a s/h one on eBay that's already unlocked, it will be much cheaper and at least with eBay you have some way of getting action if your ripped off, which in my own experience is unlikely.
=========================================================

THAT IT'S THE SAME THAT they have do to me!!

THEY SHOW YOU ONE LITTLE PRICE FOR UnLOCK BUT AT THE END IS VERY EXPANSIVE THEY DON'T REFOUND YOUR MONEY !!!!

Please keep MANY MANY MANY ATTENTION at the offers that they show you.
DONT DO ANY ORDER BEFORE KNOW THE FINAL PRICE !!!!

My experience for unlock one iphone 4 with 3 years old and ok active:
They show that the cost is more cheaper of the web so i have do one order and the price was " from" £ 19,99 - REMEMBER THIS IS ONLY FOR GIVE YOU ONE SWEET PILL.....................

THEN 2 DAYS THEY WRITE MY THAT IF I WILL UNLOCK THIS 3 YEARS OLD IPHONE 4 LOCKED BY ORANGE I MUST PAY £ 99

don't do any order or you lose the money!!!

 I ASSURE YOU VERY VERY BAD !!!!

Be careful. Don't use this website. They are not refunding. See my latest e-mail below. They never response once they get the money.

Hello,
I got a mail from your website that states my iphone "marked as blocked". Today I confirmed with Softbank Japan that there is no block for my iphone and I can use it by softbank card. It is blocked by whom?
So, it means officaliphoneunlock.co.uk failed. There is nothing illegal with my phone. When I am placing order on your website IMEI query stated that unlock available. I trusted and made payment. If unlock was not possible, why you mislead people? And in what terms you refund money. It is clear that, you said unlock available, but you can not keep your promise (100% refund guarantee). So please keep your promise. Unlock my phone or refund. I really want to know in what case you refund? Have you ever refunded? Because in my case, my phone is not marked as blocked by Softbank (already confirmed). And your website confirmed that unlock available.
Waiting for your reply.
Thanks.

Frauds

Had a terrible experience with OfficialiPhoneUnlock. I was sold a barred iPhone and didn't know. I purchased a unlock service but was told that my phone is barred and I need to pay more to purchase the barred service for more money. I was also was specifically told that after the barred service unlock request is completed, my iPhone will work on the ATNT network in the US since its barred on O2 UK. I went ahead and paid more monay.. big mistake. Now I have been trying to send several notes but never heard back from anyone on the update of my order. Looks like a typical fraudulent activity that companies do to take your money and then never respond. I would not recommend this company to anyone and will make sure everyone knows how they they your money and never respond to your requests. I was misguided by the phony ratings and reviews online. Please stay away from this company. They will run with your money just like they did with mine.

Scam company!!!

i ve paid 20 pounds for unlocking an iphone and after some days they sent me an email asking for 80 pounds more giving me some excuses that this was a pre-order etc .I complained to them and they threaten to lock the phone permantly if i make accusations against them. That is why i post this message here so others may not have the same fate.

Scammed by OfficalIphoneUnlock

I was scammed to, I wish I had done more research on this, and even my credit card won't reverse the charges when I tried disputing it. They get you with a cheap price, then get you to pay again and then say the phone is blocked with no refunds. Do NOT use this site on any condition. You will not have your phone unlocked, and you will not get your money back. This place needs to be shut down, but of course I'm sure they have other domains/websites out there to scam people. They say they are from the UK, but if you do a whois, you get the following

Domain name:
officialiphoneunlock.co.uk

Registrant:
Official iPhone Unlock Ltd

Registrant type:
Non-UK Corporation

Registrant's address:
Suite 305
Capital Building
Victoria
Mahe
Seychelles

I ended up sticking with my carrier the phone is locked to and still fighting to get money back.

Complete Fraud

I had an easy unlock - AT&T iPhone 5 I bought with my AT&T plan 9 mos ago. The officialiphoneunlock.co.uk website promised 48 hrs to unlock. After payment I waited a week but no unlock. Kept checking status, which showed as "submitted". 3 weeks later no response to customer service e-mails, and no unlock. I reversed the charge on my credit card. STEER CLEAR OF THESE FRAUDSTERS.

Did you even read the thread lmao

This site is just on everyone's nerve lol, can people just stop ordering from them and let this thread die off with official statement as "DO NOT ORDER"

officialiphoneunlock.co.uk

I would not use them. I payed them and then they told me IMEI is barred when iphone was purchased from the apple store. They could not give any reason on why phone could not be unlocked. Seems like a scam.

I find it frustrating to see people still getting ripped off by these guys. Perhaps we should have a "Scamers" section on our forums so we can report websites and people can like or dislike the sites or simply making this thread a sticky?

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to recommend (sorry admins) but any of you having issues with the service, try this service provider, its been one of the best and never holds your money hostage, I can speak from experience and so far have had no complaints from everyone that I referred to them.

I ordered an unlock of an iPhone 5 in July from officialiphoneunlock.co.uk and so far I have paid them £90... In return I have received no updates; no answers to my emails. In fact I have received nothing - which is a pretty expensive lesson. It looks like a scam and it behaves like a scam... so, I guess it must be a SCAM!

FYI, the following was posted by the business on Complaints.com by the actual business.

Official iPhone Unlock Ltd - Official iPhone Unlock Ltd did not refund upon iPhone unlock failer

Just read this alarming thread. If any of you have difficulty obtaining a refund, simply email me directly (James, Managing Director) at bulk@officialiphoneunlock.co.uk stating your case and I'll see to it that a refund is immediately actioned. With a very large number of clients and largely relying on staff to refund where applicable, it's inevitable one or two slip through the net.

Also if you have any other issues, you can write to me there also.

total rip off

These guys scam you. It will not work. they take your money and there is no refund. be care full
they show you a low price on their price list and after you pay some $35 they email you and ask you for the double of that amount. then the third email tells you there is something wrong with your contract .

Its a scam

Do not use this servise - it is false. They can't unlock your phone and will not refund your money

scam-Ask for 199£ AFTERWARDS!

Hi

I paid them 100$ and they said, we cannot unblock your iPhone 5 because it is under contract with the carrier. and if you want to unblock it, you have to pay us 199£ (not dollars, £). Off-course my iPhone was in contract, otherwise why would I pay you 55£ in the first place, why wouldn't I ask my carrier if it was unlocked, and if I pay them 199£, even then I cannot use that iPhone in the country where it was purchased!
This is scam website and I think the people who say its very good are either paid or are the employees of this scamming website!!

If you do not wish to waste your 55£, DO NOT TRUST THEM!!

Rip off ! Lost all my money !

Attention ! Rip off ! Lost all my money ! Sent some e - mails in the last two weeks - no response! Very untrustworthy company ! Do not trust those guys ! My carrier unlock the phone for only 40 pounds this ****ing guys say it's not possible to unlock and want more than 100 pounds for the same...

Hello everybody,
Please help me
I am vietnamese, i have order to unlock iphone 4s a month ago, now no update, i how do?

STAY AWAY. officialiphoneunlock.co.uk is a very well designed web site that is a SCAM.
For easy unlocks, such as AT&T, there good reviewed solutions - search.

They hook you up with a low fee, then they ask for additional payments. They hide disclaimer language to attempt to be protected agains chargebacks by credit card customers.

When I dealt with them I was lucky that my credit card company investigated and charged them back. I am surprised that the major credit card processors have not barred them from accepting after what appears to be many chargebacks form users reporting here and other social media. Even the "trusted" review site they refer you to has fake great reviews.

STAY AWAY from www.officialiphoneunlock.co.uk
