Downloa

Downloading YouTube vids is a YouTube Red feature. You need to pay. If you’re looking to download and bypass that, there’s a way. However, YouTube compresses and though something may be say 1080 on YT, it will be downloaded as 640 or 720 etc.
That said, go to the App Store and get Documents by Readdle. It’s free. From there, google download YouTube vids to iPad. Somewhere someone has the process. I do it via GoodReader. Same idea, different app.
Once you get the workflow going it’s a 3 minute process.

Correct. That’s what I thought and was saying earlier, to the OP, in this thread. I’ve used the Documents app as a wrk around. My main point was that the OP was blaming iOS and the iPad when in reality it’s a YouTube limitation unless you pay.

That's interesting because there are a number of Youtubers who've gone the iPad exclusive route. "This Video Produced on iPad" is a disclaimer added on the end. They don't seem to mention issues putting their many videos on Youtube.

I agree. I’m one of them. I’m currently in the States and still teaching classes in the Philippines. I record my lectures, create the thumbnail and upload to YouTube for my students all from my 12.9 iPad. The iPad continues to impress me with it’s capabilities.

Have you tried deleting / reinstalling the YouTube app?
Hard reset (power down / power up) of the iPad?
Ensured the format you're attempting to upload is supported by YouTube and its iOS application?
Updating the app / your iPad to the newest software version (if available)?

I would also suggest downloading the iPadOS 13 public beta. Not because I'm really sure it would solve your issue, but if you're frustrated by your iPad's lack of capability iPadOS could go a long way for you.

Also, I found this YouTube video regarding a similar issue:
Most people say it didn't work, but I'm throwing it out there.

Hope you are able to have your issue resolved!

Best,
Ace

i found some software that works but now the touch screen is laggy ive rebooted etc etc . now im playing with google q.

Yup. And YouTube Red/Premium is a great deal IMO, I’m grandfather in the Family Plan for 15 bucks. Whereas it’s 18 bucks now.

Able to watch ad-free content and use YT Music (which I hardly use). I think over time, the price will rise due to what it’s offering, Google might end up breaking it up.
Yep for £11.99 I get YouTube premium, YouTube music and google play music.

Sounds like you aren't meant for iOS or Apple products. I would ditch all the products you own that were made by Apple, get Android or Windows products, start posting in forums related to those products, and last but not least, quit making posts here.
