Apple lies in the exact SAME WAY other manufacturers lie.

I agree with the first point. Apple is no better and no worse in terms of forthrightness.

I also agree with the point that the HP forums are full of complaints about HP....as the Apple forums are full of complaints about Apple.

IMO, not enough differences between the companies to justify 2 Core 2 Quad computers for the price of 1 Mac Mini!

this is ONLY your fixation. There is NO NEED to install Onyx on a Mac, because most of what Onyx does is done by OSX on a daily, weekly and monthly schedule ...

It's not a problem: you can launch them manually.
Using your Admin account, you can run all three maintenance scripts at once:

Open Terminal, located in the Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities folder.
At the Terminal prompt, type the following, exactly as written:
sudo periodic daily weekly monthly
Press Return.
Type your Admin password when prompted, then press Return.
All three scripts will run in sequence. There is no visual feedback while the scripts execute. You will know they are completed when the Terminal prompt returns.
