Old Macbook air worth it?

My wife uses a Rev A now, and I used one for about a year and a half, and I totally concur with the opinion that with a Renice SSD and Coolbook it's a great little laptop.

Without the SSD, it's really slow when you start to push it. Without Coolbook, things like Skype video can cause it to overheat and shut down.

The USB stick is bootable in all my other PC's. Is there something specific that I need to do for the Mac?

When you format it you need to select "journaled" to make it bootable.

Agreed - Video performance is awful. A handicap. I could see paying that for a used rev c, but not rev a.

Agreed, I had one and it was HOT!!! to touch, laggy, and literally, video would turn into a slide show after 3 mins when the unit gets too hot.
