I just post that that guy said something about oled ipad
So no 2018 but 2019 for sure
[doublepost=1514146361][/doublepost]The thing is, apple will return to 60hz if they go oled too soon, and apple will never allow this. Probably, until 2019 we will have oled 120hz tehnology

If and at all the OLED iPad's happen in 2019. I couldn't find anywhere Ming Chi Kuo quoting anywhere that Apple is bringing OLED iPad's in 2019.

IMO, Apple would rather go Micro LED over OLED. It’s simply when can volume production become reality. Especially with all the current lust over OLED( when you’re not having burn in.)

As for Ming, forget about him. He is clearly an Apple Tool since early this year. He puts out both information and disinformation depending on what his handler wants. I wouldn’t use KGI to invest in shoe laces any longer.:apple:

You never know in the tech world, maybe by the time my iPad Pro first gen dies off OLED will be the normal/not 250% more model.

In general, I would agree - don’t trust an “analyst”, but I will admit that Ming is more often right than he is wrong. I still wouldn’t bet the farm on him, but he’s worth listening to.

I don't know if I can listen to KGI in general any longer. Not just Ming. I'd be willing to bet he will reflect on 2017 after the New Year long and hard. Apple has prostituted his reputation with the iPhone X and Face Farce ID. :apple:

I take it you don’t like FaceID...

Sometimes I get a feeling the confidence with which Ming Chi Kuo Predicts things. I wonder if it is Apple deliberately on its own that leaks these rumours to people like Ming to create a hype among general public for its upcoming product !

Unfortunately I think Ming is just good at his job and Apple’s supply chain isn’t as tight as Apple would like it to be.

I think Ming has some close underground connection with Apple Informers who are spread out in China and Taiwan from where most of the Apple Components come and that is how Ming is getting this information. Are you trying to say that Ming has some godly given power to envisage and imagine what Apple is gonna make next ?? NO !!

That’s what I would call being good at his job. Part of it is figuring out what components Apple is buying and part of it is putting the pieces together. Also part of it is the lack of secrecy in Apple’s supply chain.

No... i’m saying he’s good at his job...

Having said that everyone is happy this Rumors about future Apple Products keep coming as log as they keep coming raises the curiosity about Apple Products !! Though intended ! That is what Apple wants !!

I still vote no on OLED, IF micro LED can have better longevity and reliability, I’d rather have that. Plus hopefully it won’t have image retention or as many dead pixels out of the gate. OLED looks brilliant, but I just don’t trust it’s longevity and quality over a long period.

Kallum.

I hope it doesn’t get OLED as I use it as a reference monitor and burn in would be a serious problem it isn’t on an iPhone.

But if not OLED what would be the bext best progression for the iPads for Apple in terms of Display ?

Technology will progress and if you worked for a fraction of the time you’ve debated this decision you’d have more than enough money for an iPad Pro. It’s been two years of new threads from you man - it’s just obsessive at this point. The current iPads are amazing. The next ones will be better.

That is just an abberation, come to the point man ! what are you trying to say ?

Not likely without a price hike. OLED is still too expensive for larger displays, including ones for tablet.

Samsung tab s2 with OLED screen that is 9.7 inches (2yr old device but still gets security updates) that they still sell now for same price as the current 2017 ipad. So no, it is not too expensive for a screen size that big. Add the Apple tax and then it gets expensive.

Exactly. I have the 8" Galaxy Tab S2 with OLED screen that works great and was only $300.

Does that use the S-Pen?

No. Think of it as an Android Mini. No way does it match up to my 10.5 but it's no slouch either - very good performance and it's been extremely stable. When I had the Air 2, I may have used the Galaxy more than the iPad.

Gotcha.

I had a Note 8 and I loved the size with the S-Pen, but I just didn’t like the Android OS. I had hoped that Samsung would make another Mini-sized Note.
