Once a screenshot disappears, can you retrieve it

If I'm taking screen shots while paying a bill in a banking app and go fiddle with the screenshot (e.g. to upload it to dropbox), the banking app logs me off and I have to start all over again.

If I stay in the banking app and make a series of screen shots, they disappear after a few seconds.

Is there any way to retrieve the 'disappeared' screen shots?
