How come OLED isn't in every device? I think it is AMAAAAZING.

the vividness, the colors, the brightness. it doesn't even look real.

When will Apple put OLED in their computers, and CAN I GET AN OLED TV PLEASE?

I'm coming from an iPhone 8 to the X, and OLED is simply amazing!

OLED is fairly compelling when you compare to Apples LCD panels. But I think OLED might be short-lived for the iPhone, as micro LED likely be the future eventually in the next two years.

Pretty sure that OLED TVs have been out for quite a while now.

Lmao 2 years? No not even close. It's a new tech and we won't see it suitable for a phone at a price that the mass consumer would consider for at least 4 to 6 years . Just look at 4k tvs. They have just now got to reasonable prices.

They have and it's yet at a price point where people in mass will buy them tho. And what I mean by that is for the average Joe who won't tell the difference between led and OLED.

I REALLY want an OLED laptop.

Any suggestions?????

TV would be nice too, but tbh I don't watch TV much except sports. More of a computer/iphone person.

OLED is nice, but the overall user experience with the iPhone X led me to selling the X and buying the 8 Plus a few days ago.

It is the superior screen choice, given the options. A LED panel would be my first choice.

Because everyone wants the OLED screen? For the one who just wants an iPhone but doesn't want to pay a lot of money I can see it fitful the duty of being an apple. Product. I'll take it over most cheap android phone. The only good budget android phones is the moto e and g really Tbh.

I came from years of Samsung galaxy flagship phones to the iPhone 8 Plus and I’m happier now than ever. Oled is nice, but it’s not THAT important to me anymore. I haven’t had any issues with my 8 plus. My wife has an x and I don’t feel like I’m missing out. At this small of a size, oled isn’t that big of a deal. When you’re talking a 65” oled tv compared to the cheaper models it is night and day.

The lcd light bleeding was annoying for me... I could tell but not a deal breaker

Samsung mid range A series phones have oled. Not to mention China brand phones costing half the price of X have oled.

Apple just like to milk its loyal fans to fullest.

I almost went android this year because I wanted OLED. I do a lot of streaming and I love the difference in colors with deep blacks and no black crush like the Samsung S9.

I’m glad Apple came out with a premium OLED iPhone X first. Now they can make cheaper low end displays for those that don’t want premium.

And as mentioned by relentless power, next progression will be microOLED and we’ll see a price drop while maintaining the same performance. I expect that to be another premium device.

Then why do you buy an iPhone then? OLED costs more then LCD flat out. The only suppliers of OLED panels that can produce it for Apple is Samsung and perhaps LG in a year or 2.

Apple won't be making MLED panels for phone production for years even with their own supplier. Doubt they will ask Samsung to supply them panels even though they are starting production of the same tech albiet with tvs

That’s one theory. another one is that there just isn’t enough production capacity for the amount of screens that Apple needs every year.

The eye strain, the migraines, the faux white, the burn in, yep, oled sure is superior.

What? I don’t have eye strain, migraine, and what faux white? Looks white? And what burn in? I don’t see anything.

I went OLED and went back. Returned my X to use the 7 Plus until the X Plus comes out.

The OLED panel is really not as impressive as people say it is. Minor advantages in normal lighting. Moderate advantage when brightness is at 100% on a black screen.

The disadvantages, however, outweigh all of those minor benefits.
