Figures...I left TMO a month ago because of how they keep tweaking JOD and making it harder to use. Then their service in building is horrible for me.

I switched to AT&T...better coverage in buildings for me so farI’m feeling the exact same lately!
Who’d you switch to ? I might start looking soon...
I don’t know about that. The $399 oneplus 3 was a hell of a deal. You had to take a chance on a relatively unknown company that you couldn’t physically see the phone before buying. Oneplus was an up and comer just like an nfl player out of college. Now they’re going to become a household name and jack the price up. It’s slowly moving up, but once they get some market share they will be another high end phone company with high prices. This would be great to see. Finally a stock vanilla Android type ohone in a major carrier, besides just the Pixel on Verizon.
The price will sell itself for now. It’s fast and looks like the popular big name phones. Once they try to get into the $700+ price point we will see how it goes for them.Going to be interesting to see how much traction OnePlus can get being available via a carrier now. T-Mobile will need to do a good job at promoting it though.
Promotion still matters though. It's easy to say it will sell itself, and that may be true on occasion, but with every phone looking generally the same in 2018 users will need to know why they should buy from this brand they've never heard of. That's where promotion comes in. We have to remember that us folks on tech forums like this are fully aware of who OnePlus is and the reasons you should buy, but most people have never heard the name and are comfortable buying things they're familiar with. The price will sell itself for now. If a oneplus 6t looks like an iPhone X and is faster than it for half price, I think that alone will move a lot of them.Promotion still matters though. I have my doubts, but that's what I'm interested to see. When the iPhone X first came out and I wasn't seeing many in public I thought consumers were becoming aware of value, but now I'm seeing them everywhere and I realize that people are willing to pay any amount for comfort. I've been guilty of it myself. Right now I have two $1,000 phones. I like oneplus phones, but I think coming to T-Mobile will do a lot more to hurt consumers than help them. Oneplus owners now are all enthusiasts and they keep raising the price. Once normal people jump on board the price will probably be raised even more.I have my doubts, but that's what I'm interested to see. Precisely what I think (and fear) will happen.Once normal people jump on board the price will probably be raised even more.
Oneplus makes a great phone. Oxegyen os is as good as it gets. Part of the appeal was the great pricing. For $399 the oneplus 3 rivaled phones nearly twice the price. Once they enter Samsung pricing why would casual folks pick one over Samsung? If they try to compete with the top makers they will probably fail. I see them like Motorola. Solid phones with near stock android, but lacking a lot of the stuff top brands have.Precisely what I think (and fear) will happen.
While this may be true in other parts of the world to an extent, OnePlus will look like an incredible value on shelves here in the States at their current prices.OnePlus, despite being cheaper than the likes of Samsung, looks overly priced when you start looking at the rest of the Chinese OEMs.
No way. Dollar for dollar, oneplus phones wipe the floor with the poco. Everyone is so excited about how cheap it is. If they gain market share they WILL raise their prices. They are trying to get their foot in the door in countries where people are low income and can’t afford a flagship. That business model can’t last forever.OnePlus had its days. The OnePlus One was incredible in design, spec, and price. But everybody has great spec now. Poco-F1 will surely kill it.
Yep. Too many people look at the poco cheap price and give it a pass on all its shortfalls. It’s a great deal, but it’s not a great phone. While this may be true in other parts of the world to an extent, OnePlus will look like an incredible value on shelves here in the States at their current prices.
Tbf though, Xiaomi (who makes the Pocophone) is a well-known reputable brand who currently sits 4th in worldwide smartphone market share. If they gain market share they WILL raise their prices. 4th in worldwide sales, but in reality, that is just because of 2 countries. India and China. And you don't make much money off either countries sales, compared to countries in the west that enforce IP claims and can allow a company to turn high profits.Tbf though, Xiaomi (who makes the Pocophone) is a well-known reputable brand who currently sits 4th in worldwide smartphone market share.

They’re never going to make a flagship phone at these prices. Oneplus is still a far better value than a poco.Tbf though, Xiaomi (who makes the Pocophone) is a well-known reputable brand who currently sits 4th in worldwide smartphone market share.
America is already full of cheap budget phones. What we lack are phones that are cheap and have massive batteries. The poco wouldn’t do anything here I don’t think.the problem with the poco phone in North America is the lack of LTE bands we have here. This phone is a non-starter in the USA as I think it only supports 1 LTE band of 1 carrier? So OnePlus, at least in the states, will likely do much better from this aspect alone. No way am I buying a phone that I can only get HSPA/HSPA+ on... especially when US carriers are starting to convert their 3G to LTE everywhere.
now, if they do try to get into the US market with a phone that has all the LTE bands it'll definitely do a lot better and has a chance to sell more than OnePlus if the user experience / reviews are great.
