Yeah. Won't happen.

Way to ignore the title...

I'd like to see a more detailed iteration of iCloud, maybe an app that would give a dropbox like functionality, tapping on files would open the relevant applications, I guess iDisk really... Seems like iClouds potential is being limited.

EDIT: My reason for wanting iCloud specifically is because Dropbox's syncing is very cumbersome compared to iClouds invisible and fast nature.

1) Facebook Integration for posting pictures but now I can post from iPhoto so might not be too big of a deal.
2) Ability to build profiles for alerts like on the blackberry. Different sounds for different email accounts, different sounds for important emails, maybe color coding, etc.

1) Id like to see my call log synced directly to iCloud, or ability to have missed call notifications sent to an email address

If I forget to take my phone with me/lose it on way to work at least I can then keep an eye on who's been calling me and return their calls from landline or other mobile phone.

There's apps to do that on android but non on iOS, if that's down to the security restrictions imposed on third party developers on iOS thats fair enough, but in that case maybe Apple could look at filling those sort of gaps themselves.

2) Location based reminders I'd like to see some sort of scheduling ability.

e.g. 'Remind me to pick up stamps if I'm near the post office on a saturday between 9am and 5pm'

'Remind me to book in at work if I arrive there between 7am and 9am and repeat that Mon to Fri'.

In above examples I don't need reminded to pick up stamps if I'm near the post office at 1am as its going to be closed (and I know I'm not going to be anywhere near it Mon to Fri), Likewise I don't need reminded to book in at work after 9am (if I'm not there by 9am I'm not going to be in the office that day)

Would cut down on need for reminders to constantly be firing up location services 24/7 (instead they can be scheduled to come on at 7am and off again at 9 etc) which might aid battery life.

Im surprised no one has mentioned a redesign of the UI I mean the icons are getting old fast!!!! plus they need basic toggles in the notification center.

The ability to view two apps side by side. I don't need a full multi-window desktop experience, I don't need true multitasking with a dozen apps running, I just want to be able to read things in one app and write notes about it in another without switching back and forth.

1. Some sort of refresh to the UI (widgets would be a nice start, an app tray would nice too instead of everything being on the home screen)
2. SBSettings-esque toggles that can be accessed through some sort of gesture
3. Get rid of the icon auto-arrange on the home screen
4. Stabilize Siri so that it no longer feels like beta software
5. Change the built-in alarm so that its volume is independent of the ringer volume

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A406 Safari/7534.48.3)

Some sort of native SBSettings & Activator.

An end to a grid of application icons for the GUI.

Launch Pad on the Mac should come to iOS. Imagine if your Mac was just a grid of app icons.. such a large amount of wasted space on the iPad.

I'd like to see widgets implemented, as well as the ability to run two applications simultaneously side by side for the iPad. While I think overall Metro is a bit of a confusing mess, I think Apple could learn a few things from the positives of the Metro interface.

I do wonder just how long Apple can keep the iPhone and iPad running the same OS and OS cycle. The iPad has so much more multitasking abilities to be unleashed, but instead, it gets dumbed down into a giant iPhone.

I would like to see a new Multitasking UI more like Palm's OS had with stacked cards on a nice linen background.

As well as more Siri integration, for Settings, etc.

All I want is the ability to reply to texts from the lock screen. Beside SBSettings, that was the only reason I ever jailbroke my phone.

Let iPhoto replace 'Photos.'

Having to wait while iPhoto 'updates' changes every time I launch it really limits its usefulness.

Let me set iPhoto as the place photos are stored originally so I don't have to sync it with the 'Photos' app each time I run it.

But if you get a message and unlock your phone, you are taken right to being able to reply with the keyboard ready.

I've never understood people who want to be able to do things like reply to SMSs from the lock screen..

I'd like to see more share to or share this options everywhere. For instance, to share a contact you have to go into contacts but it sends it as an iMessage anyway. Why cant I go into iMessage and hit the camera icon and choose contact instead of photo. Same for your current location. Same with mail. We need an attach file type function.

Alternatively I want share to options to be more prevalent. Why is the only sharing options on YouTube either email or tweet. I want to hit the share button in YouTube and get the same options everywhere, email, tweet, message, etc. Same with safari. I can tweet a webpage but I can't one click send it via iMessage to a friend. I know there is copy paste but meh. I don't want to have to generate a new email message just to copy the YouTube link form it, switch to messages, and send it. Yuck.

They really need a sharing UI that's consistent and then they could make it extensible. Imagine if just installing the Facebook app added sharing via Facebook. Right now apps have to go through this whole sign in and accept the app thing to get that functionality when it could be built in. You add a photo sharing app like instagram and boom, now when you click share on photos instagram is an option.

Also I'd like to see Messages turned into something more like iMessage for the mac is. Add aim, gtalk, etc and then I can uninstall at least 3 competing messaging apps.

Because once you hit send from the lock screen (when using either BiteSMS or Messages+) the screen turns off within 5 seconds and the device stayed locked. It's just way more convenient than constantly unlocking and locking the device to reply to 1 text message.

Most of what i want has already been said, but i'll at least post the things i want specifically.

As someone said earlier, something like SBSettings.
i wouldn't mind a refresh of the main GUI. That along with widgets.

Something i saw no one mentioned, I'd really like to switch between apps like the iPad can with the 4 finger swipe. I hate having to double click to open the previous app. if i could just swipe to the left to bring up the app i JUST had open it would be so much easier.

For example, if i'm playing a game and i get a text and i want to reply, it would be nice to be able to hit the notification reply to the text then swipe left and get back to the game.

As it stands now i have to either double click the home button and click the last app, or go back to the home screen and click the app.

Not a huge issue, but i think it would be nice to have the swipe between apps option.

Or you can unlock, type/send message then lock the phone straight away without waiting the 5 seconds.
