The U.S. store appears to be flat out down. The usual "updating" message isn't even coming up. It appears to be a technical problem/outage with the site and not any kind of product updates.

EDIT: It was up and running again for a minute with nothing new, but now that I try it again, I'm getting the "back in an hour" message. Weird.

EDIT 2: It's back up. Nada.

Hmm, it shows the ordinary "back in an hour" on the US store for me. They usually do maintenance Sunday night cupertine time. It's thursday afternoon there.

I don't believe it's an update either. Usually around 9/10 AM cupertino time???

Apple store down... new product?

Hey, sorry if this is old news... I just got a "we'll be back soon" message at the apple store. Doesn't that usually indicate that a new product is coming soon, or price drops?

Anyone know why the online store is down?

Trying to get my hands on an adapter for my monitor from my laptop and the store is down, something new that I don't know about???

Hopefully something new is about to be listed, that would be awesome.

German store is down as well!

Something to get excited about?

Probably just a technical problem. This would be an awfully weird time to launch a new product (mid-day on a Thursday). I'm going with "our website got screwed up when Frank tripped over the power cord and pushed the big red button that says 'DON'T PUSH THIS.'"

does seem like a weird time, 5:20 pm here in Ontario, Canadian and US stores are down, on a totally different note though, I'm planning on trying to connect my monitor to my laptop so that I can work a little better in Autocad, anyone had any problems with the PC side and spanning????

My very reliable sources say they are adding a quad-core 12" MacBook Pro.

Tell me you're trolling. Clovertown just came out, and there's no mobile variant in existance or planning atm. Fitting two Core 2 Duos into a 12" MacBook Pro would be difficult to say the least, especially considering one of the possible reasons cited for the integrated GPU in the 13.3" MacBook is lack of space.

It's probably just maintinence, as it was going extremely slow (albeit working with a refresh or two) a few minutes ago before the down page appeared.

No Way!!!

My very reliable sources say they are adding a quad-core 12" MacBook Pro.

Lets just say I would be VERY:mad: ticked if a quad just came out. I just put down 2500 on a new C2D 15" MBP. So there is no way I'll let them get away with a quad-core now. LOL

But hears to the product I didn't know I needed. :D

Hmmm... UK store down for over 40 mins now.

I doubt that anything will come out of this also, but it is strange as the post-it doesn't normally come up during maintenance updates.

Weird
