No luck with GFX OpenGL benchmark on my Mac Pro 4,1 -> 5,1 with Sierra:

Let's look at how the original 3.0 version of Manhattan performs. D3D gets 735.5 FPS, Metal gets 625.2 FPS, or about 15% slower. Is your whole argument that Metal should match D3D on a test that renders more than 10 frames every screen refresh? Given that NVIDIA has more people working on D3D performance than they have working on all aspects of the Mac drivers, it's not surprising that they've been able to squeeze out more performance here, and/or that their Mac team has been focusing their effort elsewhere.
Are you just using the built-in database to compare with Windows results? With such a powerful GPU, results will depend on the CPU, which is not listed in the database.
You must run the test under bootcamp on the same Mac for a proper comparison.

I'm happy to inform that Metal running on Titan X is equal to OpenGL tests on Windows in this GFXBench app.

Mac version of OpenGL is dogslow.

There's no DX11 or 12 version of these tests to compare with.

On what Mac did you run the tests?

EDIT: ok this wasn't a Mac, unless you have a Mac Pro?
Not bad for a GPU that's not officially supported. And the Wed drivers have been show to underperform in Metal.
