Agree. Airpods pro are garbage -- very expensive if tiny pieces of rubbish.

Have had mine since May 2020. They worked until early July. Since then, they have needed to be reset nearly every day because one or both of them don't work. Apart from 1-2 hours of daily use, they are on a charger & charging properly, according to the green light. They have been cleaned per Apple instructions & the iOS is up to date. The latest is that I now cannot even reconnect them to my iPhone after having had to reset them for the umpteenth time.

I got both versions and except for when I lost one and had to get another and therefore they were on different updates... I’ve had no issues.

for what you get, it’s good.

no one remembers how hard it was to get in the beginning (ver 1) because apple was trying to get the price point for the parts low enough to sell @$150. That had to be the thinnest margin product and when you look at the competitors then, theirs was $300.

Glad to see this thread, I absolutely agree...I've had them since launch and lately they have just had so many intermittent connectivity issues that I am now looking for alternatives.

Just today even I was listening to a podcast, had to jump on a conference call, so the call came in, and then the airpods cut out and my only audio source to select was Speaker, then the Airpods popped back so I switched back to them manually in the source list, and after a few seconds it popped back to just the phone for audio.

I cancel the call and then the podcast resumes in the airpods...

Many times I have issues immediately putting them in my ears, the left one doesnt seem to chime in, I start playing and sure enough audio is only coming out of one. To rectify I have to put the airpods back in the case, close the case, kill the audio source, and start all over again.

I've never had issues with the previous Airpods 1 and 2

I find only one connects when I’m originally connected to my vehicle‘s bluetooth. That particular bluetooth connection is part of a fairly old system/vehicle so I think it messes with the ‘handshaking’.

Any other time, both connect straight away.

It seems like your certain air pods might have a defect in them tbh I have tried and tested 3 different air pods pros and all of them have worked flawlessly I am surprised Apple has built something so fluent with other devices in such little workable earphones. Read such reviews many will agree as well

Have mine since launch and use them mostly for phone calls 3-4 hrs a day. No issues other than I wish the switch between iPhone, iPad and Mac would be more seemless. Sometimes it takes a while to get them to switch.
Other than that favorite apple product next to the iPhone.

I’ve had 2 Airpods v1, 2 AirPods v2, and 1 AirPods Pro. I’ve given to family both of the v1s (in use today), and one of the v2 sets. I currently use v2 to jog/run/long work calls and AirPods Pro for when I want silence, music without distraction, etc.

I know several coworkers who have these. Most people jogging in my neighborhood have them as well.

To say these are junk is to be ignorant. Is there faulty technology? Yes. But the fact that Apple is making millions on these means they aren’t junk.

While I rarely have problems with mine, sometimes on a run, only one AirPod will connect ( then I have to reconnect to get both ). Haven’t had any problems with my Pros not connecting or only one connecting. But the vast majority of the time, my AirPods v2 are perfect, just like my v1s were.

We’re humans, we’re fallible, and we’ll be making fallible products for a long long time even as machines make our mistakes less and less apparent.

Depending on when you bought your AirPods and if you got AppleCare+ with the Pros, Apple should be willing to work with you on this.

For such tiny little devices, I’m pretty happy with them.

Garbage? Definitely an opinion. And you have right to your opinion.
