I feel leery over the OPPO, I had the Find 7. It looked good quality but in the long run, buttons stopped working, the charging port went out, and I gave up on it.

I hope they've come a long way, especially for the rumored price!

The quality might have improved, who knows? With competition in their own turf and all over Asia from Xiaomi to Huawei.

I am so glad some phone makers have chosen to think outside the box and not include the dreaded notch!
Somewhat outside the box, this isn't a new design though , the Sony Ericsson C902 had this back in the 2000s.

However I fully agree, at least theres no stupid protrusion into the display that ruins the displays immersion or forces the display get smaller when wanting to watch video. :)

Here's the C902, there was even a grey-ish James Bond Edition at some point.

I generally take these tests with a giant grain of salt but if anything, Jerry is consistent with his tests, so the results can be somewhat compared between smartphones.

Here's his punishment of the Oppo Find X. Spoiler Alert...

It didn't go well for the Oppo.

Wow.
Is it made out of cardboard?

The software looks like a real bummer... you can't even change the default launcher to something like Nova. Plus that camera mechanism looks like a huge dust magnet. Can't wait for a grain of sand or dirt to get in there and you hear it grind every time it opens/closes.

neat concept but seems like too many compromises so far... I would still like to play with one though :)
