The Hate being expressed on here to the Op is very Juvenile. Someone who risks their money in the hope of making a profit is part of Capitalism in a free society.

But there is no risk .. if the eBay resell value is not higher (for some odd reason), they return it to the store.

Screwing over a legit customer and not paying anything extra for it.

It's not really worth it. I doubt you'll make a ton of money from one of these. So don't do it.

Oh well that makes it completely different then.

Oh wait. No it doesn't.

The bottom line is, who cares? Order yours tonight if you think you have to have it, and he'll order his if he thinks he wants to sell it. If you don't get one, well, that's the luck of the draw. You don't get to tell other people the circumstances in which they're allowed to purchase something. This entire thread is a bunch of petulant children whining and crying over nothing.

I never said I was going to do that. I already know which size I want. That still does not mean the OP would be ethical in his/her action.

42mm Space Gray Sport...

While it's true that I think this is going to be far and away the most popular/in-demand model, and will sell out very quickly, I don't believe there will be much of a scalper market for it because by the time you price it high enough to make a decent profit, you're approaching the cost of a Stainless Steel model.

The only two models I expect to be supply constrained are the Space Grey Sport and the Milanese Stainless Steel, and I don't expect anyone to be willing to pay much of a premium for them on the secondary market.

Source? Otherwise, that's pure malarkey. People have purchased iPhones and iPads as gifts for significant others, friends, etc., and that has never been an issue.

I agree. It would be crazy to tie a watch to an account. Tracking who bought it is fine but many MANY of these are going to be purchased for gifts. My own husband told me I was not allowed to get myself one back in November but that was only because he thought they were already available and he wanted to surprise me for xmas.

And one more point. Right now we have absolutely NO IDEA what the real demand or availability is.

(In case it isn't obvious by now, I fabricated the information in my post as a joke trying to dissuade people from scalping. Clearly you can buy the watch and do whatever you want with it without restriction.)

MOD NOTE

The same thing is being posted again and again in this thread.
