Funny I didn't notice that since I've been using the lastest Beta. However I have been much happier with the release, eye strain is down, I think they changed a few things with regard to legibility, glad Apple is listening.

One other thing I noticed is that the screen brightness auto adjust is better. Its awfully subjective, but at the end of the day it seems to make more accurate changes with varying light sources. I keep all the default settings for the display, BTW, test as is.

Ui lag fixed??

it seems that all the system wide ui lag is gone after the update! expose/zoom/multi monitor lag i have yet to see again :)

New apps in Launchpad with a blue dot now (OS X 10.10.2):

Just noticed iTunes is now at 12.1 as opposed to 12.0.1 being downloaded from the Apple website...

There's also the iTunes widget on Notification Center which I don't recall was there before on 10.10.1...

The full installer... The one that is downloaded from the Purchase tab of the MAS that weighs 5.19GB...
Interesting indeed.

Strange how it's already a few shades beyond 12.1 (@.0.50), but it's also dated 2014 instead of 2015?

I guess they completed the iTunes update last year & updaters can expect the newer version soon.

No link for the time being...

Here's my screenshot...

And apparently only the full installer of 10.10.2 provides the new iTunes...

thanks...how weird! Can we get a few more screenshots of the Notification Center Widget when iTunes is playing music? Can it display lyrics as well? :)

No lyrics displayed, no album artworks displayed... :(

Just bland...

So brutalist minimalism.
I liked the sparklies. :(

It did manage to draw your attention to it. This new light blue bullet point is so easily overlooked, in fact, it was showing for the iWork apps that were updated since I last opened Launch Pad. Wouldn’t have noticed them.

iTunes 12.1 now has a new look for the video player.

don't know if this has been discussed already but one thing that seems to be missing in continuity is a batter life indicator on the computer.

I noticed this the other day while chatting on my laptop while my iphone was in the other room and if it was for me needing an app on the phone I wouldn't have noticed that the battery was down to 2 percent. phone could have died ending the conversation.

got me thinking that it would be nice to have a battery life and a signal strength indicator for your iphone on the facetime app. this way when your on the computer talking you know when your phone is about to die.

i'm thinking how can apple miss this. I've had secondary battery, signal strength indicators on my car head unit since 2012.

There looks to be a couple of glitches in your system! The Memory status should be showing the amount & type! your Graphics should also be showing more detail. Perhaps you need to reinstall it.

Edit: and your 'X' logo is missing. Did you install any Beta's before moving to 10.10.2 Final?

I think the new iTunes widget is utterly pointless. I mean, there are volume and playback control buttons right there on my keyboard.
