Sorry, that folder is not normally visible in the Finder, so here's how you can get to it.

Click on the Go menu in Finder, then press your Option key.
Click on the Library item when it appears.
And, that's the right folder!

edit - I found an option to show the Library folder, but cannot find that file under Safari. Could it be anywhere else?

Click on the finder Face icon on the end of the Dock (or click once anywhere on the background of your desktop)
Should say "Finder" now at the left end of the menubar, next to the Apple.
See the Go menu?
That's it! Open that menu
Press the Option key. See the Library item appear on that Go menu?

There is no "Go menu". Closest I have is the Action cog, Show View Options, then I checked Show Library Folder. Bet we have different OS versions?
[doublepost=1463961644][/doublepost]On another note, it took over 6 hours, but I was able to download the Yosemite OS dmg file to our desktop. I want to copy it to a USB drive to revert to if I can muddle thru that. The file is less than 5GB and the USB has over 12Gb available but the error I get says the file is too big - what a freakin day........

You need to look further up ^^
It's - in the menubar. Look at the top edge of your screen.
Not the toolbar at the top of a finder window.
That window toolbar is where you see your Action cog, etc, and is not the same as the menubar at the top of your screen.

There's the Apple, then Finder, then File, Edit, View, Go, and Help
Got it?

Got it, clearly I have more technology than knowledge.
[doublepost=1463962480][/doublepost]I managed to do something that stopped the 65 tabs from opening, but cannot get the keychain to auto login to my sites any more.

Safari => Preferences => Passwords

Can you see them there?

---------------------------------------------------------

System Preferences => iCloud => Keychain

Is it turned on?

Yes to both, which is why I don't understand why they don't auto populate the fields. I can click in the ID box and have it work, but it used to be completely automatic.

Go back to here:

Safari => Preferences => Passwords

and make sure that the checkbox next to 'AutoFill user names and passwords' is checked.

Ok. Is it just one website or all websites? I know some websites (It happens to Adobe websites sometimes) do not autofill for security reasons (I assume).

Safari => Preferences => General

Check to see if the 'Safari opens with' dropdown menu is set to 'A new window'

Ok. That is the reason your passwords are not filled automatically.

I don't know the reason why that dropdown menu is missing though :(

The only bit of advice I could give you is this:

Close Safari down.

Hold down these keys at the same time: shift ctl alt cmd (4 altogether) and at the same time click with mouse of trackpad to open Safari

Ok.

Go to Spotlight and search for the 'Terminal App'

Open the app and paste in the following:

rm -Rf ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist;

and press enter.

Then restart Safari
