Well at least with Yosemite we had one year of an attractive iTunes icon...New iTunes icon.

Disk utility is different. No more repair permissions.
Ah, I was hoping for that too. Hopefully once it matures on iOS it'll make its way to OS X.Not in OS X. Which somewhat bothers me, but oh well. Maybe next year?
The first mention of the News app was in the OS X demo, so it definitely should be there. Not in OS X. Which somewhat bothers me, but oh well. Maybe next year?
Of course it did. That was always expected. Just hacking in regular watch San Fran never looked right.Did the San Francisco font get tweaked somewhat? On the left is Yosemite with San Francisco display font, and on the right is the 10.11 font from the screenshot @umzyi uploaded. Interesting.

Does Notes & Reminders sync over iCloud drive rather than CalDAV and IMAP now, like those rumours suggested?
I'd like to know this, too. iCloud would be a bad deal for me. I want to use CalDAV and IMAP. But I think apple is not so stupid and cancels CalDAV and IMAP support. Many companies need this protocols and it's a plus for OS X and iOS to support that with the default apps.
I would imagine it would still support CalDAV and IMAP if you're using it with a service other than iCloud. I certainly hope they use iCloud sync rather than IMAP for Notes though. I'm sick and tired of duplicate "Recovered Notes" every time I open the app.I'd like to know this, too. iCloud would be a bad deal for me. I want to use CalDAV and IMAP. Not entirely sure why Apple is saying this is a new feature. I thought that was always the point of the new Photos app. I guess they just didn't have extensions support for Photos done in time for a Yosemite point release.Photos app will now support third-party editing.
How is the performance on the first beta? I am considering adding it to my 1.5 year old MacBook Air.
Mail has decided to change the email address I send from to my '@me.com' rather than '@icloud.com' which I previously set it to, and won't let me change back.
I noticed that too, but I believe Craig misspoke and meant to say "Notes." I could be wrong there. The first mention of the News app was in the OS X demo, so it definitely should be there.

and it is so much faster...New full screen animation.

I think you change that from iCloud settings. It happened to me once, but the other way around. I actually use @me.com instead of @icloud.com
