Ah ok. For me it dosen't even boot I just tried, that's weird ... I don' remember how I did it the last time ... let me try ...Now, without replacing the EFI, it booted to the black screen and progress bar! And it's advancing!
So, I see you didn't used the link provided by me, in fact El Capital is very buggy, and I advice you to use this : https://archive.org/details/el-capitan-installer-app ; it's seems less buggy (even if it seems the same installer as the others, we don't know what Apple made), and for the date command, you will probably see that the installation will fail, because this is the wrong date (El Capitan installer is very strict with the date, normally Apple think people will download this from the App Store then install it immediatly, so in fact each El Capitan install have specific periods of time where you can install, if you install this too lately, the installer will fail to install this), so use this link below, and normally it should be betterWow! The OS X installer opened! Now I will follow the instructions carefully
Thanks, I first change the date with the terminal at the installer with your command, and now selected the disk and put install, now says about 18 minutes remainingAh ok. For me it dosen't even boot I just tried, that's weird ... I don' remember how I did it the last time ... let me try ...

Yes, it's back since few days I think. Let me know if the install crashes. or if it kernel panic, or if it works micracoulesyAnd yeah, the Archive is back!
Just crashed (yout computer restarted in multiple languages)Yes, it's back since few days I think. Let me know if the install crashes. or if it kernel panic
Yes so yeah this is the classic problem of boot.efi file ... I'm waiting for my usb flash drive to finishJust crashed (yout computer restarted in multiple languages)
Now I'm downloading the archive.org versionYes so yeah this is the classic problem of boot.efi file ... I'm waiting for my usb flash drive to finish
Yes, I'm now installing Lion for creating the USB with El Capitan again (because i downloaded it with Windows)I don't understand ... I made the installer with osx-patcher 1.2.1 and 1.3.1 with the same installer from archive.org ... and it's the same result, the installer won't boot 1 second after I tried this and goes to the partition from the hard drive ... So I don't know how I did it before to boot at least on El Capitan (maybe I don't remind this correctly, maybe it was only on Yosemite that I succefully booted on this, or maybe this is with an now unavailable version of osx-patcher last year, I don't know how I did it before). So for now I cannot help you more than this, sorry for that. Yes normally you have to format as Mac OS Extended Journal, I don't know if you can upgrade. So if I understand correctly you click installed, then your mac shut off after around 2 minutes and reboot itself, and then you have a folder with ? ?
I will try because I didn't abandoned the OS X installer (El Capitan)But now that you have at least booted on the installer, which is not the case for me ... Maybe try to play with the boot.efi file, on the osx-patcher folder, and maybe also on the USB thumb drive ... because I see now that there is also boot.efi file and also bootbase.efi on (the drive)/System folder and maybe in another places also ... And also try to play with the permissions of the boot.efi file like I said in my original post
Thanks. I didn't know that can make partitions on the disk, like the C and D of WindowsAh ok. So for the computer, it's like you power off the computer during installation, this explain the folder icon. But you can make 2 partitions, one for Lion, one for testing at least El Capitan
Yes you can make partition like Windows, even after the installation with Disk Utility, on my MacBook2,1 I have Mac OS X Tiger, Mac OS X Snow Leopard, OS X Moutain Lion, OS X El Capitan, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 10, Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 22.04 (and i hope 24.04 with the update)Thanks. Yes, I used Ubuntu before, and I realised that Ubuntu interface was heavily inspired by Mac OS hahaYes you can make partition like Windows, even after the installation with Disk Utility, on my MacBook2,1 I have Mac OS X Tiger, Mac OS X Snow Leopard, OS X Moutain Lion, OS X El Capitan, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 10, Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 22.04 (and i hope 24.04 with the update)
Thanks, it's a pity that software compatibility for SL isn't that great (but I can use Office 2011, Adobe CS6 Master, iWorks, iLife, and so on) also I'm surprised that CS6 runs very good with 2GB RAM, compared to modern versions that even my main PC don't comply with minimum requirementsOk no problem, I understand. Yes I also think SL is also the best macOS version all time ... and then just after this, this was a decrease of quality malheureusement from years to years. I f I have the time, I will see to upload an image of OS X El Capitan for MacBooks2,1 on Internet Archive (if they could take it, and if it works, this is not guaranteed)
Yes. I think the compatibility with PowerPC apps is a big good point, but yes this is very very old :/ And yes also, programs nowadays are very hungry in resources. Windows 10 on my MacBook2,1 is a nightmare :/Thanks, it's a pity that software compatibility for SL isn't that great (but I can use Office 2011, Adobe CS6 Master, iWorks, iLife, and so on) also I'm surprised that CS6 runs very good with 2GB RAM, compared to modern versions that even my main PC don't comply with minimum requirements
