First of all I want to send out a big thanks to mad jew for all the help he has given me.
I spoke with apple care and did numerous checks and what not. We did a fsck -fy or something to that nature and waited for a bit. After spending 2 and a half hours with apple care, he came to the conclusion that i had some corrupted data on my HD. The disk couldn't repair itself and he told me to reformat and back up data. He mentioned the mac to mac (target something) to back up my data. After everything I just formatted and now I am back to square one and have to get all my programs and set everything up to the way it was. Either way i have my lovely mac back and happy once again.
