i tried it and i cant find anyway to logout when you sign into a service like yahoo messenger or whatever. in addition it automatically logs you into every account you have on it when you start the program and i dont see an option for it not to.

nice, is there a way to take an account offline from inside the app, once you sign in, what if you want to sign out of that service?

afaik, you can only go 'invisible' so you appear offline, but arent

there are a few things missing from this app...

One thing I don't understand is that if you quit the application and then send yourself a message you get the red bubble appear on the icon on the homescreen to say you have got a message (great so far !)..

However, when you then go into the application I cannot see this message anywhere and cannot clear the bubble on the icon ?

Anyone else with this problem ?

yeah potential is here but its very incomplete in some of the most basic ways for an app like this. in addition signing up for an account with them for no reason. lets make them a list at least so they can improve, because we know better chat apps are coming and beejive is a web app and better than this.

need the ability to login and logout of individual messenger accounts

need the ability to turn off autologin for individual accounts, not just the program itself

The program logs you out as soon as you tap the home button or answer a call, unlike AIM or MobileChat.

Sending pictures simply uploads the picture to Palringo and sends the person the link.

I believe that unless you like sending pictures, beejive is better (logging in takes forever on Palringo).

Finally an actual application for MSN, but too bad it can't run in the background. Is push supposed to be turned on by Apple in August/sept?

Something like that, but this will also require the devs to release a new version of it to take advantage of the push.

This version is certainly better than nothing, but it has a lot of maturing to go...

agreed, it's better than the web apps. What we need is adium with push! :)
