You should probably just wait till tomorrow. IJS. If you don't know what you're doing, wait for the bundled JB.

I know what I'm doing, but it's hard to troubleshoot buggy software when it's not in English.

I figured it out, thanks for the concern.

Was it the encrypted backup setting on iTunes as I said? Just curious

I used Parallel's with win7 not hard to do. Than switched back to mac and used FileZilla and Terminal for SHSH if your following redmondpie just remember at the terminal commands that you add 2 - in front of [install] which they made a mistake from -install it should looks like --install hope that helps

Can we use passcode yet? without having the loop problem?

Nevermind Just read the update can anyone confirm the passcode works? I am at work and can't have my phone freeze during boot lol

Can anyone who now has updated to the latest Cydia confirm that Apple Pay still works while jailbroken?

The Pangu jailbreak was not buggy, Cydia had to be updated to support it.

Yes, if you have Cydia v 1.1.14 or 1.1.15, you can now enable passcode/touch id without any problems!

I deleted my backup from itunes and I dont have iCloud backup on. Updated Cydia then rebooted my phone. No backups so this was all or nothing lol. Thankfully though it booted up again with passcode and touch ID on.
So don't be scared to update and reboot, Jacob!

I had this. Got to disable "Encrypt Backup" in iTunes with your phone connected. Then run it again and it will be fine.

I also took the lazy way and installed Cydia via the Pangu app. Works fine. After doing this the Pangu 0.2 update also appeared for me in the Pangu app (perhaps the respring triggered it)..

The notes on my experiences of installing Cydia this way:

1) It did not show any packages via search initially.. i had to go into changes and hit refresh, then it worked.
2) Substrate isn't installed by default. Got to do that yourself after step 1.

Is it easy to install the substrate? Can you just do that via searching Cydia?

The jailbreak was buggy (lots of safari issues, messages with images, etc...most have been fixed but still) this long is, since passcode haven't worked, no one (before now) to my knowledge has used Apple Pay while jail broken. Given that some App Store apps check for a hailbreak and disable their apps, for something like Apple Pay, I could definitely see Apple doing something like that for security reasons. Just checking.

Mines Loop Booting now... updated Cydia as well! man This is what happens when you get bored at work lol

Update: It had to boot 3 times before finally going back into ios

Will wait for Pangu8 v1.1.... I hope they release it tomorrow as I have been trying to use v1.0.1 unsuccesfully since it was released last week!

What trouble are you exactly happened?

----------

iPhone 6 stuck with the progress bar full after Pangu finished doing its thing on the PC...

Did your phone reboot? It should have started the install on the phone even though the progress bar went to full.

So no issues with touch ID AND/OR PASSCODE ON THE LOCKSCREEN? Have you tried to reboot the phone after the jailbreak completed?

None. Rebooted twice. Second time took a few apple boot loops but it rebooted on its own and now doesn't do it at all.

Delete your pangu download. Make sure you have iTunes installed. Restart your computer.

DFU restore your iPhone. Make sure the backup isn't encrypted.

Redownload pangu, reattempt jailbreaking.

Maybe I confused you. I was saying no issues. It's perfectly fine. Just one 2nd reboot it bootlooped a few times and then booted normally and has since then.

See my thread here. I am just not able to even get the blue button no matter what I do.

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1810918/

Have you right clicked the .exe file and into properties theres a box that says Unlock. Try that you will get the blue button after that. Just remember to right click and open as admin

Did the same to me the first time but I didn't try rebooting again lol

Any luck? It looks like I'm also stuck at about 98% on the progress bar as well on my 6+. I was able to do my iPad air 2 on the same machine with no issues.

Try restarting the computer and phone than try again I had a little trouble on my 6+ at first but the 2nd time around it went smooth.

Another Question:

Do you have to keep the blue Pangu app on your phone after jailbreaking?

Just curious.

So anyone know of a good reason to wait till version 1.1 comes out tomorrow? Just curious as I would love to get this done tonight, but could wait till tomorrow if I have too I guess.

Just curious mainly if anyone knows if 1.1 will fix others bugs vs current one. I don't care about it injecting Cydia automatically.
