vertical pano using several landscape shots.
This reminded me of a similar shot I’ve taken.
vertical pano using several landscape shots.
Vertical Pano...NICE! Few people recognize can stitch up, (I thing it is bottom to top, but might be reversed) rather than the normal left to right of a more traditional pano. Notice how got rid of the distortion if had been a single shot with an ultra-wide angle lens...if it even had that field of view.Alternative Pano?

Truth be told this was about 6 images. Maybe more from memory. I did a lot of work in PS getting rid of cranes and scaffolding etc.Vertical Pano...NICE! Here's mine, though I guess from much closer. So this was my first attempt using Affinity to build the panorama. Colorado Springs and front range from the Austin Bluffs viewpoint. Minor clean-up later in PhotoShop Elements then resized in Graphic Converter.

Great angle. Looks like that is a bit northwest of the standard tourist viewpoint. I was quite a bit east of downtown CS shooting from the Austin Bluffs. Here's mine, though I guess from much closer.

I swear I'm not stalking you! From Wilkerson Pass on US 24, Colorado. Canon Powershot A550, 6 panels. Stitched nicely in Affinity despite lots of foreground. Pretty bland lighting and time of year, so I did what I could to punch up the lighting.

Great images and I love this part of the state - from Fairplay down through Buena Vista, Salida and on into the San Luis Valley. Longer lenses are really my favorites for landscapes, especially here in Colorado with large distances, vast plains, high mountains - you name it.You’re right, I’ve never been to Alberta! I also don’t really have any panoramas of the Collegiates, other than this one of Mt Princeton

And the bonus (not actually a pano) shot that I took in the same location, which I think I like a lot better:

At the time all I had with me was my 70-200. For some reason it’s one of my favorite landscape lenses!
Out last trip out there (which was 11 years ago ) we went down US24 to Buena Vista, and then back up to Leadville. I wanted to do independence pass, but we were limited on time. Definitely a nice part of the state, and very quiet in the summertime.Great images and I love this part of the state - from Fairplay down through Buena Vista, Salida and on into the San Luis Valley.
