Whats with the ads on the bottom... They're about panoramas and such. Is that meant to be or just a quincendent?

It says "ads by Google" and I've noted they can be generic or targeted to frequently mentioned items in a thread. I suppose it is one way the rent gets paid in MacRumors. It's the age of advertising. I preferred Aquarius.

That is an inviting looking place to be. I like the darker edge vignette technique with enough detail there to frame and place, but not enough to distract. Extra donuts this am for your business partner.

Ooops, it was late, and I forgot to mention that it a picture looking out at Elliot Bay in the Puget Sound (Seattle, WA). He's got a lot more of these, he even bought a $500 printer so he can print them out. But that's the only one I still have on my computer.

Northeast of the Grand Canyon. I have some others but none turned out as well as this, although it still could be fixed up a bit. I used photomerge in PS Elements.

That is nice. How many separate photos in the panorama? No doubt you have great appreciation for the time that can be involved to fix them together.

PSE is what I use, too, and while I'm tempted to get the whole PS I wind up thinking "what problem would it solve?" PSE actually had the panorama merge prior to PS then it appeared in PS.

It took seven I think. Ya if you don't have tripod it usually is impossible to get it to look right, although PS does a good job getting it all together. I have some without a tripod and there horrible.

what did you use for those images and how many separate pics did it take?

The curvature is nice and smooth, very impressive.

approx. 20% overlapping. What impresses me most, is how little distortion there is even with "fine details" or hard to align details like leaves - see the image in this post - the smaller, wider one represents the full panorama, the vertical image is a slice of the full-sized image (6000 pixel wide).

Neat! I clicked on it then kept scrolling right horizontally to walk the loading dock then reach the boat. Is that the Washington State ferry service? Looks like their equipment.

Panorama view from the kitzsteinhorn-glacier austria

I made this from about 10 photos, shoot with my sony dsc f717 (It was still working though wind, snow, 3000m and -15° C, while an analoge Canon EOS did not).

Stitch did the rest.

:p

Very nice, iMac-G5; it appears seamless on screen without any evidence such as variable sky color or brightness.

Hot chocolate please.

I'm glad the panorama thread lives on.

close to seamless - just work on getting the cloud cover even. Sometimes its best just to redo the whole sky in the troublesome areas...

There are several of the panoramas I have made of Peru (Machu Picchu, Cusco, Lake Titicaca) with a Coolpix 4500 in panorama assist mode (keeps exposure constant and displays last 1/3 of previous photo), then stitched together with either RealViz Stitcher (easier and quicker, better artifact removal) or PTMac (more accuracte, slower), at the beginning of this webpage:
http://nat.myphotos.cc:69/~nat/peru/peru4/

I have used PanoramaMaker also, but I find it quite limited. If you use Stitcher, make sure you use at least 3.5.1. Previous versions were quite buggy. Even with this version you should save multiple copies of your work often! Sometimes it writes zeros over a large file that you've spent hours on!

There are more on the way from Mali. Here's an early example of the pygmy houses of the Dogon country:

I'm glad you posted your web site with more photos. You are brave to bike in Lima! I've seen ads for mountain bikes set at Machu Picchu but I hope they do not allow it there.

I couldn't find any more current threads, so I apologize for raising the dead, but this is a shot of the interior of the State of Michigan Capitol Building. I'd like to not-so-subtly point your attention to the fact that, while this is a fully spherical shot there appears to be no distortion when the image is flattened. Take a guess before viewing the quicktime vr.
