Paperless is a powerful but easy to use app for making lists of anything and everything. There are a few screenshots below, and a free version is available so give it a try!

UPDATE: Version 2.2 has been released with an all new design for iOS 7, plus the ability to print lists, post lists to Facebook, send lists via iMessage and more. Here are the details.

PRAISED BY THE PRESS:

"Paperless deserves a spot on your iPhone" - Lex Friedman, Macworld (4.5 out of 5 mice rating)

"Paperless has a permanent spot on the first page of my iPhone's home screen... it will probably earn a similar spot on yours." - Marianne Schultz, AppShopper

"... a good way to ensure things get done at your own pace, free of the disappointment of missing deadlines." - Nick Spence, Macworld UK (5 star rating, and Macworld Editor's Choice

"I've been trying many To Do apps since iPhone 1.0 -- from the expensive Things to Toodledo and others -- and I don't use any of them regularly. Most just require too much effort. Paperless is the first one I've found that hits that sweet spot between being simple enough you'll actually use it and powerful enough to be useful." - Marc Zeedar, REALbasic Developer Magazine (4.8 out of 5 rating)

PRAISED BY USERS:

★★★★★
"Best app ever - The most incredibly useful app I've come across. Simple, effective and bloody marvelous!!!"

★★★★★
"The simplicity of the interface and the flexibility given to the user is perfection."

★★★★★
"Simply loved it - Best app I've ever downloaded, my life is so organized now! ..."

★★★★★
"After having tried a good deal of apps to get myself more organized - both free and paid - it is clear that this tops them all. Other apps presented a kind of novelty; I could fool myself into thinking that I was more organized, but it was never long before I abandoned them because it was obvious that they consumed unnecessary time. Paperless, however, has truly helped. It is streamlined, it is simple, it is sumptuous"

Looks like a nicely designed app! It looks like it doesn't sync with Outlook Notes? I wish there'd be an app that'll sync with that, but I don't think Apple provides an API for that :(

No, sorry, there's no syncing with anything right now.

Syncing with other apps/services is something I want to look into as I work on adding new features - but I don't have any specific plan just yet.

your todo app

@atari1356
Would like to check it out and leave review on iTunes.
Please PM me a promo code.
Thanks

Looks real nice, too bad I told myself no more money on ToDo apps. I have spent so much trying to find the perfect one:D. Who knows though, I may break down and buy it, it looks like what I've been looking for.

Does this app use badges? I like to have a badge so I remember to check the app if something is due that day. If it does have badges, how does it use them? I want to try it out, but I think no badges would be a deal breaker, so I'd like to know first.

It doesn't use badges... the reason why, is it's not time based like traditional to-do apps. List items aren't assigned a due date. (it's not meant to be yet another "getting things done" clone)

For time-management purposes, the way I use Paperless is this: I keep a list in it called "Today" which has all of the things I have to get done that day. The most important items I move to the top of the list, so that they're shown on the main screen of the app. That way I can just launch the app and see what needs to be done right away, without even tapping on the "Today" list.

If something doesn't get done that day, I just leave it there for the next day (or sometimes move it to another list, like "Someday").

This works really well for me... prioritizing things myself, rather than relying on due dates which are likely to change as my plans change.

Then of course, I also have lists for projects like "Home Improvement" and "Photography" - where I also just put the things I want to work on first at the top of each of those lists.

Awesome app. That's exactly what I've been looking for. Good job!

Very nice looking App.

Thanks! :)

Not time based, yet two of the screenshots show "Today" as the main title. I would love the ability to see a badge with the number of items listed under "Today", it just makes you notice it when you are using the phone and less likely to forget to check it.

That's a good suggestion.

To keep it flexible what I could do is add an overall app setting where the user could select which checklist they'd like to show the badge for. So, they could choose to have the badge assigned to a list named "Today", or to a list called "Stuff I Need To Do", or whatever.

I'll have to think about that some more...

Well, I bought the app, so I'll look for this in an update coming soon:D. Thanks

btw, I really like it so far. Nice work

Thanks... and thanks for leaving the review on the app store. :)

In other news, Paperless had its first blog post/review and it was from Japan!

From running it through Google Translate, I think they really liked it, but want to see a backup/sync feature (which is something I want to add). :D

I think my main request is the syncing ability with Outlook. If you can get that to work, you will gain one more customer :)

Great update! You don't know how much I was hoping for those badges. Thank you

I love this app! I use it to keep track of a ton of stuff and the bright interface is surprisingly refreshing.:)

To my knowledge Apple won't allow third party developers to use syncing. Not sure if someone can confirm this?

Apple doesn't allow syncing via the USB cable. A WiFi or 3G sync is possible.

I wonder if there's a spanner for syncing between Toodledo or Googledocs and Outlook...

You're welcome, I thought you'd be happy to see that. :D It was a good idea, and probably not something I would have thought about adding on my own... so I'm glad you requested the feature.

I took the liberty of posting a review for you. Good luck in your future app developments! :)

hey, really like the app, just bought it. But we got some work to do.

Usually double tapping shift button keeps capps-lock on but it wont work, i have to keep pressing it to keep writing in caps.

Ideas:

interconnection is the work.

Please setup syncing with iCal, perhaps you could do the browser based thing alot of people are doing, just offering simple editing of all your todos and notes, which are backed up to their online server.

perhaps syncing with 3rd party stuff would be cool; for example add your amazon wishlist into the app.

i would like to see alarms that can be set for tasks. also times for completeing things.

im not sure how bump works, but us there a way you would "bump" someone a list from the app. like if my friend has paperless too, i can easily send him the grocery list i want, if he is going for me.

i have more ideas but am v tired atm

Now these suggestions seem very interesting. I would definitely consider a purchase of this app if you can set up sync with iCal and add an alarm feature and push notifications for tasks.

Hi,

I'm glad you like the app.

I'm not sure why you'd be having a problem with caps-lock... Paperless uses the standard iPhone keyboard provided by Apple. Caps-lock works fine on all iPhones I've tested it on.

A syncing/backup feature is something I want to add, but I'm taking the time to do it right - so it will be a while before that appears.

I'll consider your other suggestions as well.

Thanks for your interest in Paperless. :)
