PathFinder alternatives

This morning I woke up to a message that my 16GB iMac had run out of application memory. The culprit? PathFinder 9 which was consuming nearly 6GB with two windows open and nothing going on. I already owned ForkLift 2, played with it a bit and ordered an upgrade to ForkLift 3.
