I went to law school from 1998 to 2001. In our classes of 50-150 students, about 1/3 to 1/2 had laptops in class, and 0 used Macs. I never saw a Mac laptop the whole three years (but I know that is probably changing).

[University of Tennessee College of Law, FYI]

I think its best to look at the type of school that you are going to and that will effect the percentage alot. I met one person that had a Mac at my community college, and I took 35 credit hours. Then my girlfriend goes to a school in California, and has a huge film department - she says thats all she sees.
