Peruvian do you have pics we could see if at all possible of the thickness and such? is the inside soft to prevent scratches? Is there protection from the zipper on the inside?

I dont have any pics at the moment but it fits the macbook perfectly... the thickness is just under half an inch all around... and is made from some kinda weird foam material that returns to the original shape when squashed. also there is a lip around the edge so the zipper has no contact with the book.. The inside of the case is like the outside of the case , but its soft and ive been using it for almost a week now, just throwing it in my jansport backpack and there is no scratches so far.... Actually i think it might be like the BE EZ cases, but i havent seen the BE EZ cases in person, just from pics....

Peruvian, does this guy have an agreement with apple to allow use of their logo? Cause that's pretty cheap for something with an apple trademark license.

I doubt this guy has an agreement with apple, probably a bootleg, but i dont care cause it looks good... and its a good price.. Fast shipment as well, 5 days from hong kong......

anything else u need to know????

Awesome post! :D I really enjoy STM's products as well. I just bought the STM Loop backpack for my MB, but I'm still sort of stuck on the sleeves. I talked to their customer support people and they told me that the Rebound and Glove sleeves will be available for the MB around the second week of July. For now, I've got a Bitolithic sleeve to hold me over, but I never thought of trying the 14" iBook sleeves...Anyone have an idea of whether the 14" iBook Rebound sleeve would fit similar to Johnnie's Glove sleeve? If so, I don't think I would mind the loose-ish fit.

Johnnie:
Does the MB slide around in the Glove? How much room would you estimate is left over on the sides of the MB when it's zipped up? An inch or two? Half an inch?

Thanks for the great review!

Yeah there is a little spare room in the sleeve, about an inch on the front/back, the sleeve fits very snugly on the sides of the macbook though, it does slide backwards and forwards slightly inside the sleeve but I now carry it in my bag which is a very snug fit and stops any movement.

Thanks for supporting my post! :) , I was just a bit annoyed at being accused of lying when I'd spent time trying to help people, never mind I've got a beer in my hand and it's the weekend and my 2GB of RAM should arrive in the morning :D

my new small STM loft bag!! perfect ! i love it!

macbook box dimensions

Well, this is a macbook bag thread, and this is a macbook related question....

What are the dimensions of the Macbook box?

I've just bought one and my plan is to walk it from the store back to my office. The store I'm buying it from doesn't seem to have macbook size bags (I overheard this while making my order) I have to walk my boxed macbook through pedestrian traffic and back to my office. I don't mind my immediate officemates knowing what I have, but not too keen on letting the entire building/floor know.

Someone else must have had the same problem....transporting that box that gleefully advertises itself through somewhere you don't want it to gleefully advertise itself.

I was thinking of using one of those shopping bags that cover suits you get from the dept. store OR being crafty/getting some cheap fabric/fashioning something like a bird cage cover.

thanks.
(by the way....that's a really cool bag :D )

hana, The actual cardboard packaging is 395mm x 375mm x 82mm (w,h,d) although mine was sent by courier and so was inside another bigger box.

Thanks Johnniewalker!

 Okay, I'll add to this discussion....the only bag I've had for my Powerbook Tibook 1ghz has been a Waterfield sleevecase with the flap, piggyback and shoulder strap with the snap rings that attach with the D rings. It was pretty good, but a few times the snap rings snapped open accidently and the strap fell off having Powerbook in sleeve hit the floor/concrete. Fortunately the padding on the sleevecase was good. I may be getting a Waterfield for my Macbook, but will be putting it carefully into another bag/case/backpack and not using the sleevecase itself as the bag.
