deleting the fingerprints and reentering didnt help, music still skips.
can anyone on 128gb iphone 6 try this? listen to apple music (streaming)...turn off the display then wake the iphone up by pressing the home button and keeping your finger there to unlock.
does the music skip?

if it does then its a glitch with ios 9.2.1 and i dont think i should do a clean reinstall (a pain)
Ehhh, sorry there chief.

How about speed of unlock: did it improve?

The Touch ID on my 6s just recently started acting up. It was always instant now it doesn't always go thru the first time it's very annoying.

My beef or peeve with 6S+ is I have to regularly close/kill all those @Idle" background apps / threads to get it (Twitter or any other) back to loading content smoothly.

Great wifi in house, but even better ATT 4G cellular and yet Goigle Drive and One Drive photo backup routinely get stalled.

Been with 5S and even S6 (Samsung) and Note II, both platforms suffer not from hardware but bloated OS. I think Apple inefficiencies and less RAM are partially to blame. I prefer to side on more cache and head room.

Perfect smartphone is still out of reach and in that way just as IBM found decades ago that IS and software features sell hardware upgrades.

My olde 2006 Mac Pro definitely has muscle but it's 2005 32-bit firmware and official OS support finally did me into buying 2lb replacement. Unplanned obsolescence

This is a part of Apple's planned obsolescence model. They limited TouchID speed of the iPhone 6 to make it seem like the 6S stomps it in speed.I distinctly remember TouchID being way faster on 8.4.1
That's plain false.

I don't care wha you guys call it or how it happened but I know TouchID was faster in iOS 8 than iOS 9

Isn't it?The sole purpose of him on this forum is to defend Apple from any constructive criticism whatsoever
there isn't any form of constructive criticism in your posts here... you are just downplaying apple in every single post for not so clear reasons...

i6s+ here. I was beta testing versions until 9.2.1. 4 times I had to setup prints: when new, one unintended restore, when become beta tester, when exit beta testing.
Before installing 9.2.1 final, iPhone used to unlock lightning fast. After that I lost phone's overall swiftness. Almost all animations become sluggish. Sometimes even with skipped frames. Unlocking with the prints becomes erratic: I have to try several times.
Only way that works for me is cleanning the reader, "close" all App's (yeah, I know, I know... old bad habit... Or not?), hard reboot. Full responsive phone again BUT fingerprint reader accuracy. Even post unlock animation is fast, but fp reader keeps me asking for prints several times, sometimes at first try, sometimes 3 times... I'm just about to go Apple asking for warranty and finds out what they have to tell me. But first, I'll tray to re-train the prints as some of you have recommended.
Perhaps a combination of both methods helps?
