Performance Rev A vs Rev B?

Having had both, the B kills the A on heat, fans, and just about everything else. I saw posted numbers somewhere will see if i can find them.
I disagree, the heat is MUCH better in rev. B! Without a doubt. No question. Definitively better.
Screen on my two were very similar so no complaints here.
70º ?? - hah, that's nothing.. It's much better heat-wise and my testes can prove it. Swimmer count with Rev. A 12 million per ml, after using Rev. B for near a month an astounding 34 million!
I don't know much about your testes but I don't want to see how they test MBA heat dissipation.
How could you have possibly tested the heat level at the retail store? You'd have to download and install a temperature widget, in which case the store doesn't allow you to install softwares with a password.
I dont think I would ever buy a rev A of the Air, it was just that bad

There are a number of us MBA owners that never had a single issue, but there are many MBA haters for one reason or another that came out of the woodwork to bash the thing, most of which who have never owned one.
These folks downloaded coolbook, took it apart and re-applied thermal paste, built new heat sinks, etc., but a majority of them never bothered to take it back to Apple and get a refund or get a different one.
Whew I feel much better now. I'm really tired of the Hater comments.
No One hates I was a first owner of Rev A, the title crapbbok is perfect, yea, I want to tear apart my 3grand macbook, thats what i want to do.
I had heat, fans at 6200RPMs all the time any flash based ad, and core shut downs, Now nothing a perfect Air.
RevA was a crapbook... I feel better too!

I made my rev a air work for the better including using coolbook. Hoever I did try to return it to apple but they denied the warranty claim stating that apple was aware of the problem and was working to resolve the issue. So don't just make a false claim that we are whiners. Through our efforts on this forum, WE MADE THE CRAPBOOK work. I like my air but I

i never had a problem with my rev A HDD Version. Video played great without stuttering and now with the quicktime update fans hardly come on. It has to be the best computer i ever bought. I will buy the maybe the rev c or rev d when it comes.
If you do a bit of digging on the Xbench numbers you'll find mine. I've ran both my 1st Gen and my 2nd Gen Macbook Air both are SSD.

You're right - that you shouldn't have to pull apart your MBA, etc... but you also don't have to sread FUD in every thread *multiple times* about the RevA Air. There are more MBA owners out there (including myself) that love their air, and have rarely if never had CoreShutdowns (and I played with Coolbook, but ultimately uninstalled it.
My 1.6Ghz MBA is just as fast as my MBP Rev1 CoreDuo 2Ghz, and it's become my primary machine. I think more people who love their RevA MBAs should be commenting, if for nothing else to combat the Sheer VOLUME of one guy posting crap about his bad MBA experience.
It really depends on what you do.. I work with IntelliJ and need to run the Java VM or several of them and for that the Air rev A just doesn't cut it, especially when plugged into an external 19" monitor.
From what I've seen this should be no trouble for Rev B.
If you're just running Cocoa apps all the time or develop with XCode it's probably not all that bad an experience.

Mine and many others Had Problems with our Crapbooks, Sorry if you don't like my posts, but there are flocks of us who had problems, If you don't "good for you" but Majority rules.
Glad Apple finally got it right with Rev. B!
I just don't think that your singular bad experience should dictate the purchasing decisions of multiple people on this forums. I bet there are twice as many people that bought MacBook Air Rev A's who didn't have problems that just don't post 'cause people don't post when they're happy, but you are proving the old customer service adage:
Create a happy customer and they'll tell maybe one person.
Create a disgruntled customer and they'll tell as many people as they can not to buy your product.
The MacBook Air RevA didn't work for you (and others, I freely admit) but you call it a crapBook and trashing it in every thread that remotely mentions the MBA RevA doesn't help anyone.
