Great, now when was it they released the manual?

if u read the manual, it says that u cant surf on EDGE, while call is coming in, it wont ring.

Could you point me to that page? Also, not quite fair, considering none of us could get the manual until AFTER we got the phone!

I really don't see that this is that big of an issue. There's not going to be any time when you're downloading something over EDGE for a long period of time; this isn't a computer. You'll still receive calls while you're, say, reading a news article just not when you're actually loading the article. If that happens then your call will just go to voicemail and you can call back, but what are the chances that someone is going to call you right when you're using EDGE more than a few times? Seems like a non-issue to me, but I guess YMMV.

It has been happening to me all day so the odds are pretty high.

Further, the issue is not just that it happens, but also that Apple deliberately misrepresented the functionality.

I still love the phone, but as someone who can get 100 calls in a day for business, they should have explained it on the website prior to the day of sale.

That sucks Apple. You guys should fix this pronto. This is a very important feature to have. Be able to browse and load pages while still being able to accept incoming calls. Business people are going to be really heated. I'm heated at this. Doesn't it say in the commercials about using the net and the ability to receive incoming calls?

Sorry if I am not understanding this, but this is important to many people:

So you can't already be ON a phone call and look something up online or in an email? Does it change if you're using a headset?

We all constantly look things up when talking with clients, etc in order to hold intelligent, information-filled conversations. Otherwise, what's the use of having all this information accessible in a neat little package?

Telling someone, "I'll call you back, once I've had a chance to look that up" will not work. We want instant information.

This could easily be a deal breaker without the ability to multitask.

OP stated this is only the case while using EDGE. If you were on a call and were on a WiFi network you can access the web, email or w/e you need. I know I was loading a page when I received a call, the bar in Safari was moving, but apparently this is not true for some people. I guess my data transfer was not heavy enough? I know for a matter of fact I was on EDGE as I had disabled WiFi to test this specifically. The person calling me was using an iPhone too. Maybe that helps. Haha

You have to enabled DTM hack. It's ## some numbers... leads to a menu.

Search on the Q users forums and you'll find it. The annoying thing is it has to be done after every reset... and with the Q... that's often.

I looked pretty hard for that but found nothing. Lot's of stuff on that forum, but a search on "DTM hack" and variations turned up nothing.

Got any more specific info?
