Another Christmas dinner at Mom’s.
The wife and I were staying at a hotel a few years back, and we checked in kinda late, had a good sleep, and went for the breakfast, and then, toddling back to the room to digest realized that the hall in the hotel was really rather long, and the carpet was of a similar color, and in spite of the arched ceiling, when I started croaking 'REDRUM REDRUM', she freaked. She smacked my arm and said that I just ruined the rest of our stay in that hotel. I laughed pretty hard about it. Then, as we left for a drive, we looked up the hall to see a single girl in her 'out to eat on holiday' finest, and were both struck by the similarity. After glancing at each other, we hurriedly left that hotel to spend the rest of the day trying not to think about the really strange coincidences of the morning.
I took a picture of that hall, and haven't been able to find it. Adding to the weirdness... Life, you know... Sometimes it just seems like the operators of the Matrix are just teasing us....
A memorable night out in Amsterdam some years ago.
