"...even @Clix Pix likes cats unless we keep posting cat pics for the next 3 days (sorry, couldn't resist )"
Meeeeow!!! LOL! Yeah, I do like cats, have had them rule my household in years past,
but.....
Enough's enough already with the cat thing, guys!! Please! There's so much out here in the world to shoot! The idea behind the Photo Association Game thing is for people to share an image, and then the next person comes along and shares an image based on some element in the first one, and the person after that picks up on some other element and so as a result, over time we have a fun variety of images. That's what makes and keeps the game challenging and interesting.
Variety also is a winner in the POTD thread, too, at least from my perspective. We get to see images shared by people who live all around the world in different environments and different cultures than our own, and that is fascinating. To me, seeing the same type of image or subject over and over and over gets really boring. It's like playing the same musical note repeatedly, again and again. After a while that either loses its impact or becomes downright irritating -- and neither is the kind of situation which most of us desire when sharing our images, eh?
This is one reason I make it a point in the POTD thread not to post photos of the same subject several days in succession, because I realize that while I might love seeing a zillion photos of Alfred, others might not. I could inundate the POTD thread with Alfred! LOL! I won't, though, I assure you, relax, rest easy..... So one day I post an image of Alfred, the next day it might be a flower or a fish or a goose or a close-up examination of some object sitting around my house, or occasionally some weird thing I saw somewhere and found interesting...... I like seeing new and different things as they actually are and from time to time also seeing how I can make the ordinary look extraordinary, and capturing the intriguing visual possibilities all around us in life when I can with the camera, and I appreciate it when others do the same.
