No, it was programmed in low-level machine language which interacted directly with the CPU. Higher-order languages did not exist when SAGE was developed. PS - this computer was much bigger than a washing machine.

Yeah I know. When NORAD shut down the SAGE systems, Hollywood bought a lot of the consoles which have appeard in many TV showes and movies.
