Lo these many, many moons ago my husband and I were in Paris on our delayed/late honeymoon....and one day in the hotel elevator there was this rather strange, exotic looking man and this fascinating big cat that he had on a leash. I tried not to stare, but this was a whole new experience for me.....the cat in particular, as it sure didn't look like any everyday domestic house cat I'd ever seen!
When we got off the elevator and later were talking with my husband's parents and mentioned this, immediately they both said, "Salvador Dali and his pet ocelot!" Wow..... I've never forgotten that encounter.

Here is a sign that made my bike ride interesting only the Foothills Trail along side the Carbon River on the way towards Mt. Rainier.
