It is. Dad's Army was filmed in Thetford where I lived out closer to the Priory ruins on Canons Close which was part of the original grounds. Actually from my house would follow the riverwalk along the Ouse and cross that bridge to the town centre. The statue and bench was not there at that time and it was the public car park and public restroom where now is built up with a separate shopping area. Sadly, it wasn't the same when went back to visit. No Woolies, newsagent or greengrocer - but at least the shop where took kids for ice cream was still there.
