Yes, it was 1961. Recently converted mom's slides to digital. Trip to Key West, 1 roll 12 exposures. Couldn't they at least splurge on 2 or more rolls! I know it was 1961 on Islamorada Key as years later parents related were upset with the rowdy guest at the motel partying all night and speaking in Spanish. Turns out it was a staging area and they were partying before the Bay of Pigs invasion. They had color photos when you were 11? View attachment 2312642
Just kidding. Guessing we're pretty close in age.
Wow! Been stationed all over FL, from Pensacola, to Orlando, to Key West Boca Chica. I liked Pensacola very much. The Blue Angels were stationed on the same base where I was going to my first Naval Photography school in 1978. Parents lived in Avon Park, and now Sebring.Yes, it was 1961. Sounds like you were Navy. I was Air Force and kept trying to PCS to Florida where from and where mine and spouses family lived, but to no avail. As a disabled vet, now able to go on base and kills me at both Patrick and McDill, across the street from Exchange/Commisary is the Medical Command where I should have been stationed.Wow! All the family photos I have from the early 60's are a mixed bag between b&w and color. Everything from the mid 60's on are all color. Thankfully dad had a few cameras and was a photography enthusiast. My son will never run out of family photos to enjoy, add to, and hopefully pass on to the next generation of Bond's.

What a perspective! I love it!
Can't decide which I like better. Sepia toned gives a classic look of the past, whereas the colors of the original show more detail. Which do you like better?
