St John's Anglican Church, Fremantle - Anglican and Episcopal Churches by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

This photograph continues my social history project documenting both the mundane and the interesting in the City of Fremantle and surrounding areas through the medium of waymarking

St John's Anglican Church, also known as St John the Evangelist Church, is an Anglican church in Fremantle, Western Australia. It was originally opened in 1843 and replaced with a larger building in 1882. The older building was demolished, allowing Fremantle Town Hall to be built and the High Street to be extended, giving the Kings Square its current shape.

Why do I not see a single QAWTD down that entire hallway? I was in the US Navy for years and that just looks odd to me.
The ship is museum now, so many of the doors (and other things) have been removed (or made immobile) to keep tourists (especially kids) from hurting themselves or causing trouble

GUEPRATTE - F714 - {002} by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

GUEPRATTE [Frigate, F714], 3,600 gt, 125m loa, was commissioned in 2001. She sails under the French flag and is the final build in a series of five La Fayette-class frigates. He [the French refer to their ship as he] was photographed alongside C Berth on May 20, 2016. No other information was found during his visit.

According to the French Navy website, the GUEPRATTE is "designed primarily to preserve and uphold the state's interests to the maritime areas overseas and participate in crisis settlement outside Europe; leading warship is also likely to be integrated into a naval air force. It may well be asked to support an intervention force or the protection of commercial traffic and perform special operations or humanitarian missions."

According to Wikipedia, the GUEPRATTE is the only frigate of the La Fayette class whose complement includes women, with 25 female crewmen on board. In January 2016, the first female frigate commander in the Marine Nationale was appointed to command Guépratte. In 2016, Guépratte deployed as part of the Jeanne d'Arc battle group.
