The Red Deer were rutting while we visited Ireland last month. I normally wouldn't save lower quality images and didn't take my longer glass on the trip, but while a big crop in low light, (25,600 ISO), these were magnificent animals.
The ultimate irony. During his life, tried and convicted in absentia for treason where subject to arrest if returned home, now a statue in his hometown and birthplace in front of local government office buildings.
I do remember him from my high school history classes.. that’s been over 44 years ago
