Don't mind the critique so much as the obvious sarcasm.
There was no sarcasm. That's not who we are.
As a few of us have said, we hope you find a way to come back and embrace what we are about.

Pretty sure there was no sarcasm here. @mollyc was just trying to give some helpful critique. I have to say her comments were spot on.Don't mind the critique so much as the obvious sarcasm.
Not sure of the point of responding, but in my view, and that of my partner, there was a sense of sarcasm/elitism with 'I appreciate you used the best camera you had with you'. The title of the weekly post, is challenge, not competition, and nowhere does it explicitly state you have to show off your photography skills, but more the interpretation of a theme. That's cool, this sub isn't for me, so let's not pretend.Pretty sure there was no sarcasm here. @mollyc was just trying to give some helpful critique. I have to say her comments were spot on.
If you want to participate in the competitions (and I hope you do), then you will expect to get feedback. If that’s not for you, then just post in the POTD thread.
Personally I’d rather honest feedback to help me grow. Especially from photographers I like and respect.

Good job photography isn’t a passion, otherwise your critique might have hurt.
Thought the theme was favourite, not who can take the best photo with amazing skills.
Thanks I won’t be back

wow that looks like a great place for a bike ride! I appreciate that you used the best camera you had with you. 🙂 Compositionally I would have loved if the horizon didn't compete with the crossbar of the bike. Next time try to get higher or lower so the bike is all in the water area or all (mostly) in the sky area.
That glossy black coat and the way the light dances over his form is stunning, what a handsome lad he is. There's an intensity to his gaze there that is really captivating! I was always a cat person prior to the Boof entering my life and I suspect that I will always and evermore be a large dog aficionado as a result of her magical presence. Jedi's presence would have been a huge part of your life and I can only imagine the sadness felt when he made the journey over the rainbow bridge. 😢As others have said, tough judging contest.
I loved seeing all these images, great talent here.
Congratulations on 1st, saw your dog photo , here’s my Black lab / Great Dane mix “Jedi” from 2009 via T1i, my first dog , he passed in 2011 after having him since a 10 week puppy Spring 2000.
